They won't. These games are so rushed that the localization is always done poorly and/or they won't throw in a second set of English text when they don't have to, and I imagine if they did the text wouldn't be done by Steve Simmons, but more then likely someone from Dimps (who doesn't understand the English language that well) would do it and we'd get a script on par with Shin Budokai that's full of errors.Since they're doing updates eventually we should complain and ask them to make translated subs for the Japanese audio.

Shin Budokai....NOOO! I can't see them putting in the effort to make a new translation. Nothing against them, but it just doesn't seem plausible. I agree. Is there a difference in graphics for the two systems? Any differences?TAS wrote:They won't. Between the 360 and PS3? Not really.Shin Budokai....NOOO! I can't see them putting in the effort to make a new translation. Nothing against them, but it just doesn't seem plausible. I agree. Is there a difference in graphics for the two systems? Any differences?
The new graphics engine they're using for the game looks pretty but it's not the type of game where you're going to see or notice differences between the 360 and PS3 versions in terms of graphics.

You know what it says in the anime/manga. You arn't exactly getting a buzz from reading lines you've read before.

I'm not going through all of the pages to check.. but am I to understand that there are only four playable characters available initially in this game? (Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, and Kid Gohan)?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Hey! I know they won't do this because they want money, but why don't they eventually update with the Buu Saga and a bunch more characters and fusion, instead of Burst Limit 2? (For XBL points, of course)

You basically answered your own question. There's no technical limitation, save for XBL having size limits on their downloads, as far as I know.Cartman Blues wrote:Hey! This game wasn't really even that great as the hype was for it. The only thing good on it was possibly the graphics, no tournament, no costumozing characters, same storylines, yeah this game really isn't that wonderful. I feel like I've been raped when I paid 50 or 60 dollars for this thing. It's a good thing I have GTA 4 to keep playing instead since I basicly played Burst Limit in 2002. By that of course I mean, Burst Limit is nothing but Budokai 1 without badass cut scenes.
GTA4 got a 10 from gamespot.com. I have no Idea why, the games graphics, playability, and feature are far less impressive than San Andreas was. If anything GTA 4 deserves like and 8, or 8.5 tops.
I think Burst Limit getting a 7.5 is fine, cause there is technically nothing wrong with the game. It just doesn't really have all that much replay value. The graphics are really quite good though, some of the best I have ever seen, and I don't even own an HD TV.
As for XBL downloads (characters, maps, sagas) I really think they shouldn't do that and instead focus on making an awesome game that requires no frivolous upgrades.
I think a game that crosses the mechanics of Budokai, Burst Limit, Tenkaichi, and Legends from PS1 would be awesome.
Think about this. Three on Three battles with real time swapping, matched with detailed fight control, destructible environments, transformations, cinematic finishing moves, and a power up system similar to a role playing game. Now that would be cool.

There won't be any DLC, it's been confirmed in interviews already, which I found surprising, but only because they admitted flat out that there wouldn't be any when asked about it rather then trying to dodge it.
Also note that Burst Limit isn't the first next gen fighting game, ie Dead or Alive 4 and Virtua Fighter 5 and Tekken: Dark Ressurection have all come out on either the PS3 or 360, and none of them had DLC. Soul Calibur IV won't have any DLC either aside from what's already on the disc.
Fighting games seem like a natural source for DLC however the truth of the matter is that they never have DLC for multiple reasons. For instance let's they made Zarbon, Dodoria, Coola, Garlic.Jr, etc, as DLC and they released each one monthly, well it make playing online really difficult because whoever your playing would have to have all the exact same DLC you have and if everything (characters, stages, costumes) were released seperately it be problematic for the online mode. Now of course they could make a single expansion pack to make it easier, but they'd rather save that content for a sequel as they don't get a lot of time to develop sequels and it would just limit what new stuff they could have in BL2 if they were releasing DLC.
The other thing people have to realize about DLC is that at most you usually only have around 30% of people that bought the game buying the DLC, and given that DLC doesn't make very much (or any) profit along with the time having to spend on something that most people aren't going to experience, ontop of the fact that first parties like Sony and 360 get a cut of the DLC profit most developers don't want to do DLC.
DLC has lots of potential for what can be done with games, however it's not very viable, thus you don't see many companies doing it, or when they do something it's not all that major.

Wait, what? All of my sources point to Krillin being unlockable, and both Gohans available from the beginning.Anonymous Friend wrote:Nope. Nope, Gohan is unlockable, and Kuririn is a starter.

Another thing I noticed about this recycled game is the fact that every fucking character beyond the Saiyan saga will just stand there and block. No matter how many times I hit the character, all they want to do is block! That's no fun at all. This game has seriously pissed me off beyond "burst limits." They might as well called it DragonBall Z: Block Limit.

It's been stated that Playstation 3 will have DLC to get Yoda and X-box 360 will have Darth Vader (basically the opposite of whichever one was included as your special character).TAS wrote:Soul Calibur IV won't have any DLC either aside from what's already on the disc.
DLC for music based games seems to be getting a lot of attention. I remember reading somewhere that certain artist will be more inclinded to release certain songs as DLC for games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band than on a CD. Or something like that.

That's why you have to break their guard. Once you do that the computer will definitely fight back.
