At least Trunks' ass pull power up did something in the anime, he's achieved nothing of note in the manga despite having that nonsense SSJ2 form.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
After reading the chapter, I can come to the conclusion that Goku Black and Zamasu in the manga are absolute jokes. I'm sorry, but handling of those two characters in the manga is just unforgivably bad. They're total losers, who spend more than half the time getting their arses kicked, have little composure and have issues working together. Goku Black and Zamasu were the primary reason why I loved the Future Trunks arc so much and seeing them act like this in the manga just disappoint me so much.
Future Trunks lack of major involvement in the plot is also a major gear grind for me. So far, in terms of his major contributions to the plot, Future Trunks has informed Goku and Vegeta about Goku Black in the past and helped Goku and Vegeta escape Goku Black and Zamasu in the first encounter. Other than that, he's either been a bystander or a literal punching bag in the manga. Hell, Kaioshin has played a bigger role in the arc in the manga than he has. It's so sad seeing Future Trunks being demoted like this. He may as well have died after fighting SSJR Goku. Because there's no way he can contribute to the plot now that Merged Zamasu has happened. Unless the Genki Dama sword will becomes a thing in the manga, too.
And we still have no idea as to when Vegeta became a SSJG. Because if had the form prior to this arc, why did he not think about using it?
Other than that, the chapter was tolerable.

I just don't get how, once Black has figured out Vegetas trick, why is it still working? Isn't the advantage to the trick that Black doesn't know whats going on?

The advantage wasn't surprise attacks, it's that due to Vegeta's training he can fight in SSJ God, use Blue just for quick boosts, and that way avoid Blue's power consumption, but still have Blue's power in his attacks. And he apparently doesn't lose stamina by transforming anymore either due to that training.Boo Machine wrote:I just don't get how, once Black has figured out Vegetas trick, why is it still working? Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Vegeta is stalling him out. Because Vegeta is mostly in SSG, Black is losing way more stamina than Vegeta due to Black being in SSR, which has the same drawback as BlueBoo Machine wrote:I just don't get how, once Black has figured out Vegetas trick, why is it still working? Look at the end of the chapter, Black is sweating and tired, but not really damaged. Meanwhile, Vegeta is still fresh

Makes sense I suppose. Still feel like Vegeta should not have this much of an advantage with this tactic.OLKv3 wrote:Vegeta is stalling him out. Vegeta SSG can swap punches and defend Black's attacks, as well as damage him to Super Saiyan Blue.OLKv3 wrote:Vegeta is stalling him out. Before he was losing to Black's SSJ form, I do not see how he would be able to hurt him without getting stronger.
Black also says he's faster

When did they ever? Toriyama made the manga just to entertain young boys, thats it, if super does that then it succeeded.TheMikado wrote:All this tells me is that no one really cares too much about the artistic integrity of this series..OLKv3 wrote:Meanwhile Toei has been enjoying Dragon Ball MultiverseTheUltimateNinja wrote: Pretty blatant, damn.

The fact that a lot of fans don't even want to see Trunks again because of his asspull power ups and techniques , some of which weren't even needed like him learning the mafuba from a video, it may be for the best.TheUltimateNinja wrote:At least Trunks' ass pull power up did something in the anime, he's achieved nothing of note in the manga despite having that nonsense SSJ2 form.

I agree. That, and that fact that now, the SSB "can't be maintained for long periods of time" and SSG can, when it was the other way around in the anime. But then again, while I don't really like all the changes all that much either, the manga would be boring if it were the same as the anime so... meh. At least we have Vegetto to look forward to?Lord Beerus wrote:After reading the chapter, I can come to the conclusion that Goku Black and Zamasu in the manga are absolute jokes. I think even Vegeta is superior to him after training in RoSaT, right?Boo Machine wrote:I just don't get how, once Black has figured out Vegetas trick, why is it still working? Isn't the advantage to the trick that Black doesn't know whats going on?
Even though he understands, he does not seem to be able to hit SSG Vegeta, and is wounded by SSB Vegeta attacks as well

As much as I would like to see Gogeta, it's clear Vegetto will will be the one to fight Zamasu in the manga as well. My boy Shin is there for a reason.
I also believe Trunks will still be the one to put an end to Zamasu's physical presence after Vegetto weakens him, with a new one time only form. And this form will be achieved by combining the ki of Goku, Vegeta, Shin, Gowasu and Mai into himself. We shall see.
Now begins the wait for the next and probably final chapter of this Arc.

Last senzu will be used on Vegetto. Calling it.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I just read it and it seems like Black is the leader of the 2 but was it like that in the anime ? from what I remember they both were on equal ground.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

That's because they didn't have a lover's spat in the animesintzu wrote:I just read it and it seems like Black is the leader of the 2 but was it like that in the anime ? from what I remember they both were on equal ground.
Anyway, as much as I like SSG and as happy as I am that he's giving it more screen time, the manga would flow a hell of a lot better if he never brought it back. Toyo is jumping through hoops and nerfing SSB more and more just so he has a reason to include SSG
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Wow, this chapter was great. It's a pity we get it like this, first leaks, then the raw and finally the translations, because the whole thing is the great. The written part is gold, as always.
We don't have the confirmation if Vegeta had the SSG from before. Black asks him if his going to use a new form and Vegeta answers with a question "did I? ". That sounds like an inside joke. I think he had it, he just didn't use it in the battles we've seen.
The strategy is perfect, he uses the red form for its agility and speed and the blue to attack hard. Same Goku used with Hit once.
Another important fact is that the stamina problems for using the blue can be reduced by training. That's good to know, because a 90% loose just in the second use was too much. So happy for this.
Goku uses the Mafuba with the blue. I think this is right because the technique kills the user when used with strong opponents unless it's used with a lot of power. Then he specificly says that he can't use it again, so he goes red.
I love how Goku provoques Zamasu. This is the Goku I like to see sometimes appear, not only the dumb one, which sometimes is fine too, but not all the time like in the anime.
Then Zamasu and Black argue, great dialog there again! So fusion. Goku notices first and tell Vegeta to attack. Come on, people, it's fine. This doesn't make Goku a super schoolar neither Vegeta stupid. It's totally fine!
Toyotaro amazing. The only problem is that he didn't make the Goku and Black fight, but the rest is that good that I forgive that. Next chapter will be good to see too. I think it will end the arc, so there will be a lot to talk about.

Goku wasn't surprised seeing God Vegeeta so I think it strongly suggests he already had it.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I feel like one of the only ones, but I don't mind this chapter at all.
One issue I've noticed people are having is with Blue's energy drain, but it's not new, it was actually mentioned in the Uni 6 Tourny against Hit. Goku mentions that transforming takes a lot of energy, so he's saving it for later. When he transforms into SSJG, Vegeta states that Goku is still trying to save energy which pretty much confirms that the transformation that Goku was talking about was blue.
M Black is nowhere near as good as A Black. It seems like M Black is much more like Zamasu (manga) so I guess it makes sense, but even if it makes sense to me, it still doesn't make a difference. A Black was the man.
I love how Vegeta actually figured out something that Goku hasn't. For once he's the inventor (kinda), but by far, my favourite thing in the chapter, and the manga is that Goku isn't some mentally changed fool. It's not just about the forgetting, in the anime Goku is totally retarded! The part where he's talking to Zamau in this one is similar to how he tried to talk to Buu before Babidi shut it down with threats to Buu, but still Goku realised that Buu was going to kill Babidi at some point which means he could actually read situations like he did here. On the plus side, it looks like anime Super Goku (Uni Survival) isn't as dumb as in the previous arcs.
