I'm not really fond of the song playing, Not very Dragon Ball-esque, and especially not something that would fit in this movie.

I guess their trying to make dbz more main stream like naruto.

Here we have Flamegeta when he access the fires of his Saiyan Pride
Nature Gohan who once becoming one with nature achieved a new super form.
Nega Goku who drew power from his original saiyan personality, which was lost after the head injury.
Finally we Super Piccolo who discovered his race also had a Super Saiyan like form.

The colours just clash too much. It looks like My Little Pony and Dragon Ball did a collaboration with each other.

? Dragon Ball is one of the most popular manga of all time. It's way more mainstream than Naruto. I think this is more of Toei trying to appeal to the newer generation of anime fans.

I like the gist behind the new form's color scheme. Freeza is "The Emperor of The Universe". Gold and purple have often been the colors of royalty from kings, emperors, etc. Goku's SSJG was red because "red is a strong color".

Freeza is gold and purple because they are regal colors. It goes with the emperor motif.

Except as an example, it's useless. You could pick bad still frames from any Dragon Ball animation.

I'm not defending the CGI or anything like that. But if you are going to argue with someone who likes it, give evidence that actually means something, not something that occurs literally everywhere in the show.

I mean, I don't see how that isn't obvious. One example isn't proof. And yes, such a dissection as the one you mentioned above would be preferable, as it would be legitimate evidence, unlike a single frame with zero context behind it.

Yeah the song feels really out of place. It's ok I guess. But it doesn't feel very Dragon Ball at all. I kinda like it. Not ipod worthy, but it's alright on it's own perhaps.

Kinda saddens me that most of my old DBZ friends can't stand the new stuff, because this is an exciting time to be a fan. Can't wait to see what Freeza does, and if Vegeta finally gets his shot at his old enemy.

Same for Naruto when the manga ended. The only thing left for that is a movie (which DBZ already had in 2013 and another one this year), the anime (DBZ also is having that with Kai), and the spin-off series coming later on.
EDIT: Dragon Ball also has Heroes, so there's that.

Relax, the Momoiro Clover Z song will be during the end credits (potentially showing Gohan introducing baby Pan to everyone, just like he started doing with Piccolo when Shenron was suddenly summoned), while the Maximum the Hormones song is the insert song during the movie.

Good to see that what I said about being too time-consuming to do a dissection with all the moments of jarring cgi moments, with explanations and videos, flew right over you. If you are expecting anyone to actually do all that because one single visual example isn't proof, then good luck, you aren't being unrealistic at all...

I agree. It's like the Ending theme for the Kai-Cell arc, "Wings of Hope". It feels very out of place.

Are you being sarcastic? Anime is mainstream in the US. Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, Attack on Titan, lately. Then you've got Studio Ghibli films.
