For some of the story missions and PQ's, where I really need help to beat down characters, I do use whatever outfits are the most effective (which for me tend to be either Ox King's armor or the Time Patroller outfit), but I'm definitely using the alternate outfit preset slots to dress my character in apparel that I think looks good on them. Probably making different 'arc' based outfits for them, as well as some kind of 'casual' clothing look.
So I haven't fired my PS3 up just yet, but I was about to just to see - is the DLC up yet?

I dont have internet but I was able to use my phone as a hotspot and when I got on PSN and started Xenoverse I got no notice for a DLC or patch download.
Yeah, doesn't seem that it's up yet. Haven't seen any kind of notification on my system anyway.
Also, gah, I already have the Four-Star ball, so I'm gonna have to grind and get the last DB I need to then make a wish with and get no DB's before I can accept the gifted one that's waiting for me. And of course the NPC that's holding the one I need and won't give it up, appropriately is using the Takahata voice.

Either my Ki Blast aren't strong enough yet, or Hell Zone Grenade is a weak move. If it turns out the latter isbtrue, that is unfortunate as it is one of my favorite attacks from the show.
So I finally buckled down and did some ranked matches. Literally the worst experience. People just run away and Ki blast and make it really difficult to get close and hit them. Then they hit me with the SSJ/Super Electric Strike combo or have some Z-Soul that restores their health (or am I imagining things?!). It's literally catch the monkey with Ki blasts, no fun at all.
I won probably 3 out of 6 ranked fights. One fight I got utterly destroyed by a Freeza race character that kept stealing my stamina with Hyper Drain, then Super Electric Strike/Death Ball. The other two were just spammers that got the one up on me, with their constantly recovering health and time running out(seriously wtf is that?!). I won 2 fights with Super 17 and the other with my own character. Got some D points, and then they got wiped lol.
I like to play fair, no cheap tactics. Others (probably kids) don't feel the same way. I'm done. Put the gloves up. This shit is lame. I'll be doing PQ's to get the items I want until I feel like I wanna go at it again.
Sidenote: When does the PS Store update? I wanna play the DLC before I go out later.

You get it at the end of Goku's training, and you need to be level 70 and have beaten the main scenario to participate in it.
I already beaten the story. The problem is that I'm not even at lvl 70 yet, I'm at 65 right now. But it's okay, I'll get through it.

So yeah, once I beat the campaign I'll happily do some friendly online matches against any of you guys who has it on PC/Steam. To avoid the ranked matches problem.

Ranked matches are the Tenkaichi Budokai right? Or is it seperate?
Ranked matches can take place anywhere. But if wanna be cheap, pick the Budokai Tenkaichi arena and spam large ultimate attacks. Believe me, they do that kind of shit a lot online. It so fucking frustrating. I just don't bother fighting online anymore.

You know, it's really not that hard to counter spammers. Force Shield and the energy absorbing barrier Super Attack that you get from the first wish to Shenron for supers laugh at them.
Instant Transmission and Afterimage Strike also work, with no ki cost.
Symphonic Destruction outlasts mosts other Ultimates, and you can catch them in it whenever they start spamming.
Really, there are so many ways to easily counter spamming, that quitting just because of how someone else chooses to play the game just comes off as being a sore loser. Be creative. Check out the abilities that do more than just take off health. Look at your Z-Souls.

"Quitting?" Like I said, taking a break to unlock more stuff/moves/items and I'll go back. I don't really enjoy playing if I'm going into matches with a "COUNTER SPAM" mind frame. Definitely need more moves if I want to do just that though.
It's not like I couldn't beat em, except that one. Normally their health keeps coming back (what item is that?!) and time runs out.
