I really don't know what to think of this form. I would have given him at least wings to show which cells of Cell had the information to possibly grow them.

God, that trailer is fantastic. CG aside, there were a few cuts towards the end that actually look surprisingly well animated.

It is a wonderful thing to be able to hear Nakao deliver fresh material as Freeza.

One name for you that will make you see that pretty much any form is alright: Bio-Broly.
Bio-Broly is "disgusting, atrocious, awful", and don't tell me you put this new Freezer on the same level than a big pile of mud.
At worse, this Freezer is still acceptable.

He was made up of other organisms besides just Freeza, Cold and the couple of heroes. So I'm going to say, given his bug motif, the wings came from bug cells...

That trailer by itself is really awesome. Ignoring the really dumb stuff aside (Looks like that mook really did tap into his hidden power and beat Piccolo), it did truly hype me up.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

That does not mean you cannot write another explanation to actually give Freezer a similiar look. Or even give Cell more cells that have the potential.

Fantastic trailer. Really sets the tone for the movie. I wonder if the explosion thing was another Goku apocalyptic vision.
