The hair looks weird. It feels static and rough, and the shape is just overall strange.

I love how Goku's hair looks in this new visual. It looks kind of like base form, but a little bit lifted, not too much. And the cat eyes is a nice touch!!

I'm so glad this new transformation is not just another recolour.

Its something on your end because its showing.

Its basically super beefed up Goku, with somewhat spiked up Black hair, blue aura that is a deeper ocean blue than his regular SSB and silver eyes.

Someone just mentioned this on the main thread but those may not be typical highlights... They don't like as white. Hmmm.

It's certainly better than his recent visual. You can tell where he's "phoning" and what he has less time and care for. Understandable given the current plight of work he's under for this arc.

I really hope the special is not another stupid crossover.

From the way it is worded, it will probably be an hour long crossover with both DBS and One Piece staff. It makes the most sense, since One piece just got a 20th anniversary 2 hour special of it's own which is about to air in about a week.

The new thing turn out to be crossover would be disappointing.
They have an ambitious arc like this going on and they are wasting resources on that?! Surely there would be a better time for it.
Animate Yamcha's spin-off doesn't sound so bad right now.

There's absolutely nothing to gain from another crossover with One Piece. I'm hoping it's another thing, even though this is not the right time to focus on anything outside the Tournament.

Yeah, it seems there will two 1 hour specials over two weeks, which makes this stranger. Maybe they want to celebrate the milestones 100 episodes of DBS + One Piece 20th anniversary but 2 hours is too much and ironically both franchises lose because there were better things to do with their lore.

Maybe this special could be beneficial to both DBS and OP? Both shows production might actually improve if the special is not heavy on the animation and both the teams work on it.

Okay that makes me feel a lot better about it, instead of two weeks being wasted only one. Plus it definitely makes more sense that way as a crossover.

Toei are going to throw all of their heavy hitters into that episode. And Yamamuro will certainly be among that group.
