They need to be as close as possible in body, mind, and spirit. Kuririn and Piccolo are able to touch fingers, but that doesn't mean they'd be able to fuse.
Those requirements were never said as far as I can remember. Through Metamoran fusion, anyone can fuse with anyone. Like it was made clear in one of those 2014 interviews. The height issue, as I said, though not explicitly stated, is obviously for the fingers part, if the fusees don't have similar (not "same") heights, the fusion won't work due to the fingers part, exactly what we saw in Dragon Ball GT.
Also, Kuririn and Piccolo scene is filler, only Goku and Piccolo performed the poses in the manga and both of them have similar height, enough for their fingers to meet each other, so a fusion between Goku and Piccolo is totally plausible even though Piccolo is taller.

Although height has never particularly been consistent in Dragon Ball, I don't think Gokū and Piccolo are of similar height. Piccolo is quite a bit taller than Gokū.

I don't think I should've put a comma over there, but their heights are similar enough for the fusion to work, they aren't extremely different like a kid and an adult.

Sorry for the slightly off-topic question, but, in all sincerity and without sarcasm, when and how did the term "job" come about? I expect it's probably been around for a while, but I'd never seen it until very, very recently. Maybe I've just been sleeping under a rock.

It's a wrestling term. To Job is to lose decisively, usually without making yourself look good in anyway (Or get utterly destroyed by someone in some fashion). A jobber is someone who constantly loses, and never looks good. Is merely around to lose and make someone else look dominant. A jobber to the stars is a jobber who only gets to beat other losers from time to time, but mostly loses to more established people all the time.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Job is a term from wrestling which simply means to lose a match. dbzfan is a little incorrect, as to job does not mean losing decivesly, it simply means losing, aka "doing the job". People misuse it and treat it as the term "jobber", which is someone who regularly jobs to make others look good. Hence why Vegeta is a jobber, because it's his job to make the main villain look threatening by getting beat by them

One problem with this: Goku CAN'T go Blue. He used too much energy for the Mafuba, which is why he's only SSG.
Last chapter ended with Merged Zamasu and then you guys expect to the next one end with Vegetto? What a slow pacing... Give us the finale already for Christ's sake

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
mfwlegend3 wrote:Weren't people complaining about this manga being too "fast paced"? Now it's too slow for you. Feels like an actual manga at the moment, TBH.
Funny because when people complained about being fast paced where arcs that many would like to see more development (BoG and Champa arc), now this we're getting stuff yes, but it suffers for being so poor compared with the anime that is getting tiring. I can only hope for its end in chapter 23.

In the beginning of the arc, I'd want it to be more slow paced for the sake of character moments, some emotional stuff like Trunks reacting to all this shit. But now that's it's at the end, it's the worst time to slow down after all that fast pace, because the manga really hasn't given a reason for that slow pace now. The next chapter can hopefully make me eat my words though,

That's subjective. It's not going to be rushed and end abruptly for your sake. Others, including myself, are enjoying the story and interested to see how it turns out.

I personally think that they having only one senzu means that Vegetto's gonna eat that
I doubt it, it would be best for Goku to eat the senzu before fusing, otherwise (Unless I'm getting the rules of fusion wrong) Vegetto would be naturally weaker.

It's best for the fusion that one of them at least is up to full strength. And I doubt Vegeta would go to attack Merged Zamasu alone

Rushed? Like isn't 60 pages enough to have Merged Zamasu beating the crap out Goku and Vegeta, leading them to fuse, then epic battle between fusions, Vegetto/Gogeta wins, Trunks is happy, they leave, goodbyes to everyone, the end. I actually think is more than enough though
