So I wonder if during Goku and Vegeta's training with Whis something happens between Goku and Vegeta that puts doubt in your head that Vegeta may still be good, and maybe that's what Beerus is talking about?

So has it been explained why Freeza keeps his body in Hell and why he comes back as pieces rather than in his full body yet? Or, is that still considered a plothole?

Not only that, he as inorganic robotic parts too


But since they never explained why Raditz had his body or Freeza in the Buu ark (anime) ...I have no idea lol

On Frieza's new design, I'll go along with everyone else on it. I was a bit disappointed when I first saw it. It does grow on me for some reason though. I'm also not entirely sure if someone hasn't touched on this already (this topic's grown by the 100s since I've last been here), but I wonder if there was a marketing decision of some kind (or whatever it would be) to have Frieza stay fairly similar to his final form. I don't know about everyone else, but I know when I think of Frieza I think of his final form (not 100%). I would have liked to have seen something maybe a touch more sinister, but at the same time that final Frieza form is just so classic and memorable! I wouldn't doubt if Toriyama or the folks at Toei, or maybe some combination of both didn't come up with the idea to keep it somewhat similar.

Maybe they're just trolling us and Frieza Gold-Mode has even further transformations!

I'm up for some foreshadowing.
If Vegeta does go with Freeza, I want to feel that emotional punch on Gokû's expression, I want to see that loss.
Though I'm really curious to see what Gokû and Vegeta's lives as classmates under Whis are like and how that affects the dynamic of their relationship.

While I was hesitant at first over the possibility of Vegeta being the one to defeat Frieza because I didnt like the idea of Goku getting his ass handed to him in back to back movies, now I really do want it to happen.

I actually think Id be somewhat disappointed now if Vegeta wasnt the one to beat him. Just this once I want him to save the day and beat the main villain.

After that though Goku REALLY needs to beat someone on his own.

A while back on this thread, I posted a message about this movie being potentially a redemption for Goku, and a major turning point for his character.
Goku's lack of a killer instinct was one of the reasons Trunks had to intervene and kill Freeza. Yes, I know he left him in pieces, and King Cold happened to find him and patch him up - but one way or another he survived.

Beerus's comment in the trailer could be referring to a number of things - the situation above, Vegeta or something that happens in Fukkatsu no F.
But I do believe it's quite possible that this time around Goku attains that "Killer Instinct" and Nozawa's comment about him growing "even more this time" leads me to believe he's going to attain something more at the end.

I could be totally wrong of course, and most likely am, but it's simply a feeling I've had since Freeza's return was announced.

Freeza's new form is growing on me. Looks better in motion. I had a hunch that the F song would be played when the Freeza soldiers attacked earth. Regarding Vegeta potentially joining Freeza? I doubt AT is going to chuck his entire development out.

And the burning question, Goten and Trunks do they still exist?

This movie looks so gooooood. Not gonna lie, I am not too fond of Golden Freeza, but the form is growing on me.

All this speculation about Vegeta and Goku is making me wonder about all the possible scenario's. One thing I wouldn't like is Vegeta taking Freeza up on his offer and going with him (unless he's double crossing him and/or working against him from the inside). I am not here for a second Majin Vegeta scenario, they've been there done that. I am confident though that Vegeta will not betray his family and friends (again). There has been too much growth for his character to throw that all away.

I am here for Chuquita's scenario of Vegeta walking away from Goku (with the intention to stab Freeza in the back without Goku knowing about his plans).

What I am wondering about too is Freeza's realization that Vegeta is still alive. As far as he knows, Vegeta is space dust. Am wondering if Vegeta only shows up in battle is when Goku is defeated.

With the way it's edited, we can't really tell who the line is addressing. It plays when Vegeta's standing over Gokuu, but his mouth isn't moving in that shot, so the line isn't necessarily even from the same scene.

This is the first chance I've had to post since seeing the trailer (was able to watch it during my lunch break at work, and coworkers were probably deeply concerned for my health and/or sanity with all the shouting and squeeing that went on ) I've since watched it several more times, and my hype level remains off the charts! Can't wait to see more.
