Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

It irks me how many things we could have seen from Black: we never saw him truly battle damaged, nor using his sickle more times. I wish he was more than another Zamasu in the actual arc as his character is what made me enjoy it depise it's dreadful ending.
Was that #18 with a shirt written "Tapioca" (famous brazillian cuisine)? I love this random fan arts

Agreed. His scythe technique was very creative, I would have liked to see him using it in an actual battle (he never actually hit anyone with it, he just used it to open a "scar" in the sky).It irks me how many things we could have seen from Black: we never saw him truly battle damaged, nor using his sickle more times. That being said, I didn't mind that he was just another Zamasu. In fact, I'd say that makes him even more interesting, because he is this unique mix between a Kai and a Saiyan. If anything, I'd say we should have had more moments of inner conflict between Black and Zamasu, to really drive home the idea that this Zamasu is starting to change due to his Saiyan body.
