I don't know. That heavily implies to me that he has done (or is suspected of doing) exactly what she's saying. I doubt someone would just pull that out of their ass.

She's not saying that he could be out doing that because she's no longer watching him to stop him from doing that, but that she's ended her relationship with him and thusly doesn't care if he is out with another girl. I heard comments like those quite often back in highschool when there was absolutely no cheating involved, implied, or even suspected.

See, that's the funny thing about implicit dialogue: it's not explicit. So it really doesn't HAVE to be anything. You, and other people, interpret the line one way. I, and other people, interpret the line another way. It doesn't make either point any less valid unless whoever wrote the line or the character who spoke the line makes it explicit. But, you know, some people do make things we like to call "slip-ups" (it's a technical term) where people, attempting to deflect from giving away details, accidentally give it away through specifics because it's strongly on their minds. If Bulma rushed in and cried out, "I don't care if Yamucha does screw a hundred midget clowns while bathing in motor oil and ramming a violin up his own ass," it might just be hypothetical hyperbole... or it might sound a little suspicious.

I agree, it's a finalization of the fact that she's cast Yamcha aside, for whatever reason. He's beyond her caring.

For the most part, I like what they're doing with this dub (with it's only failing being that it's not being done to Z). Definitely gives me hope that fans can be at least moderately less divided than in the past.

Remind me, from where to where does this first box set go (in terms of story)? I remember 1-13, but I don't remember what that covers in Kai.

And I gotta say, I'm lovin' Monica Rial's performance as Bulma. She uses the same voice and tone she used for sexy Simca from Air Gear. She's one of my favorite VA's, so I knew she was going to deliver a good performance for Bulma.

Nice clips. I gotta say Clinkenbeard looks good without Naldony. IMO, Naldony was good in the Cyborg arc when she played the role as Teen Gohan fought perfect-state Cell.

I agree. I'm pleased with Rial so far. I think she'll do quite well in the role.

Yeah, I have no problem with Monica Rial as Bulma, especially considering the fact that she sounds almost exactly like Tiffany Vollmer, who was already good enough anyway.

Although I'm not liking Gohan so far. It's mainly because I've always looked at Gohan as more grown up and mature then a regular four year old, to the point where I don't even imagine him as a pre-schooler, and I look at him more in the same light as I do Kid Goku in GT. It's easy to forget that Gohan is only 5 in the Namek saga; and I think Nadolny's voice reflected that.

That's because of the dub. At first he is supposed to be a typical 4 year old, which is to contrast him with Goku, and to show how far he comes in maturity when the fighting starts. I'm sure Clinkenbeard's performance will change as the character changes.

To refute that, for a while, I did think it was because of his voice, but when I actually decided to watch it in Japanese and read the manga on top of that, every now and then I would still think, "Oh yeah, I forgot, he's only 5 at this point." I think his voice just reflects the fact that he grew up WAY faster than the average 5 year old.

EDIT: Oh wait, I didn't realize what you were talking about. Stephanie Nadolny's voice was a little more cutesy for 4 year old Gohan back when he was annoying as fuck. But when you watch all of the training filler, her voice gradually becomes more "normal" as Gohan starts to man up more. There's a noticable difference in his voice in the episode where he's with the orphans from the episode where he's stuck on the cliff and Piccolo tosses him an apple.
