You completely missed his point, and the point that so many of us have been trying to make for the longest time now. Why in the world would you want to focus so exclusively on power-related things that the story can't be the story? From the way you make it out, you'd be happy if the plot went 'Freeza soldiers show up, everyone has a nice discussion with them about the power difference (USING REAL NUMBERS YAY), and they all back off cuz uh oh, POWER LEVELS'. And that's...boring. Beyond boring. Insipid even.

If you're that focused on power things, then it's not even a story you want. You want something that fits squarely with your own pre-conceived notions of power standings, even if it was a crappy story, you'd be happy just because it fit with your power ratings. That's how it's coming off though. I, and a lot of others it seems, on the other hand would prefer a good story even if power standings don't mesh 100% with whatever everyone seems to assume they know about the series.

It's also mind-boggling how many assumptions are being made about a movie that we don't know the whole story about yet. Maybe not all of the Freeza soldiers are insanely strong. There's an army of thousands of them. Maybe the reason the stronger characters don't just 'sweep them away' (other than that being boring) is because they need to focus on the stronger ones, which leaves the weaker characters taking care of the dregs of the militia. See how easy that was? And it could easily be that way in the movie for all we know. And yet instead too many people are just taking what little we do know at extreme face value and freaking out over it needlessly.

Because the Saibemen attacked Earth ~20 years prior to this movie. Roshi could easily be better than them now. There is also no point in constantly bringing up "this character is 139. The movie will suck if he can beat these stronger characters." I don't know if it is just you, but the argument has been on here a lot and is very boring.

Would you like a story where Raditz was revived and beated Krillin to a pulp with no apparent reason? I don't think you will.

Besides I know that we need to watch the movie yet before making those assumptions that you said, but I don't think they will explain that cleary to the viewers just like they did with Bra in BoG and etc.

This doesn't contradict anything. It's still the "next generation" (and the next next generation) taking care of Freeza. Roshi is just helping with some of the goons and his presence there or not would in no way decide the outcome.

That's interesting cause on one hand Vegeta has changed a lot so maybe he'll try to give Freeza that chance ?

Considering how strong Freeza is supposed to be now, it makes more sense.

It's why I'm expecting the conclusion or at least some part of the movie be Beerus vs Freeza. If Toriyama doesn't like doing the obvious, then Vegeta may not defeat Freeza as promotion is making that ending predictable.

Considering how Toriyama does fake outs, I could see that happening or no one possibly beating Freeza.
