That would make Frost stronger than Champa (Who Champa seemed fully confident in eliminating) or Piccolo would be so strong he wouldn't have needed to bother trying to use his signature move while trying not to get touched. Not to mention Frost said and was severely weakened beforehand. Neither of which makes sense. The whole point of the fight was that a tired Frost was still far out of Piccolo's league (With Goku even believing Piccolo probably had no chance). So Piccolo had to quickly try to use his most powerful move, and avoid coming to blows with Frost as much as he can. So Piccolo being God of Destruction tier is ridiculous.

Interpret it however you want, but Piccolo's attack was in fact stronger than Champa's attack. It takes him awhile to create an attack like that, which obviously puts him at a disadvantage in battle, but it's still a huge deal.

Champa's attack wasn't a full powered one, though. Piccolo did really well but he's nowhere near Beers and Champa, not even Goku and Vegeta are.

At least now we'll get a good drop in people who're gonna use the Namekian book of legends as a way to try getting Piccolo out of the fodder ranks. If he hasn't gotten it by now after swearing to train, he never will.

Gohan is way stronger than Piccolo even in base.And please don't say the DBS Goku/Vegeta show BS,it's annoying.Losing in a tournament doesn't make someone irrelevant.And being weak doesn't mean you're irrelevant either.By your logic,Bulma and Jaco are both irrelevant.

The reason people are annoyed is that he gave up after he was given the win so we should be seeing Piccolo facing someone else. This was obviously done just so Vegeta can fight a frieza race character and Goku will probably fight again and not Piccolo and that is why people are calling it the Goku and Vegeta show.

If he didn't gave up.He will face either Magetta or Cabba in which he will get absolutely destroyed considering he was not in his full power anymore.

I don't know why they bothered bringing Piccolo to the tournament if it's so clear that he stands no chance. Even if they exclude Gotenks and Gohan there are many fighters stronger than Piccolo in U7.

''Don't stand a chance''.He was winning,he only lost because Frost cheat.Gotenks isn't allowed in the tournament,even so.He is fodder compared to current Piccolo,and Gohan have his important conference.

I dont think so that Special Beam Cannon would probably have killed Frost.

Piccolo did do something major in this episode, he cracked that dome open. Even Champa's attacks didn't damage it.

He still fucking lost. God forbid we have 2 episodes dedicated to Piccolo fighting in Dragon Ball Goku and Vegeta edition.

No he didn't lose, Frost cheated and was disqualified, Piccolo won. They just set Piccolo up as being on par with or stronger than a God of Destruction, that's a huge deal. We'll definitely see more of Piccolo.

No they didn't and no he's not. Nothing indicates those ki blasts that Champa fired at the barrier before the tournament were remotely close to his full power let alone his full power. Not even Goku and Vegeta are close to Beerus and Champa. Piccolo certainly isn't.

Bulma and Jaco are productive thanks to their intellectual insight on various subjects including lore and their technological background. Piccolo has always been defined by his warrior instincts. His "intelligence" is mostly insubstantial because it has to do with combat and his power level is too small for it to make a significant difference. Do you really think Piccolo is going to have any more role to play after this fight? Nothing indicates to that possibility happening. He has no investment in the plot besides acting as a proxy for the missing Gohan in the tournament roster.

If you really stand by this statement you're making then I say let's have Vegeta lose to Frost as well. By your admission, it won't detract from his relevancy.

Do we think the fake titles WERE real, but changed late in production? Could this be something to do with Morio Hatano's appointment as series director? It seems however that it would take a lot to change the outcome of the episodes in such a significant way.

Do we think the titles are a misinformation campaign from Toei to keep the fans guessing and clamoring for more? Perhaps, but that seems far too "put together" for them. That would involve a level of foresight we don't see much on this production.

Or perhaps they are for later episodes? Seems unlikely, but perhaps Piccolo does get back into the action later.

Nah, they were just fakes. I seem to recall the episode titles getting released around the 10th of every month, someone care to confirm, if that's the case?
