Footage from the Korean premiere of the film!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HIjXE6UdNA
Ugh, I may be getting the DVD, but shit, nothing can replace that feeling of seeing the film up on the big screen with a couple of hundred other people.

Great mix of people too, good to see it's not just children there to enjoy the film.

Not be backseat mod, but please give some kind of description or information when you post a link. Just posting a link doesn't help anybody, and people like to know what they're going to before they click random links.

Seeing dat Korean premiere footage:
To be able to sit with room full of other fans and watch Battle of Gods, that would be a hell of an experience. Maybe we'll be able to replicate the scenario and the feels if the US gets some kind of theatrical screening.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Deciding to blow up a planet only because Boo angered him is not his job. Even when it's for other reasons, I wouldn't call it a job neither -- he doesn't get paid or anyhow rewarded for what he does. Destruction is what he's made to do. A hobby, if you will.
Wasn't he already planning to destroy Earth, but decided to put if off just to hang out? He destroys planets to create balance in the Universe.
Also, this really shouldn't hit US theaters. Maybe if it's like with how movies 6 and 12 were shown in theaters in 2006, but as a mainstream release? Noooooo

Hasn't stopped FUNimation before. Their high profile releases like both Evangelion movies, the Trigun movie, and Summer Wars have all gotten limited theatrical screenings in the past.

Yeah, and I'd say DBZ definitely at/more than the popularity level of those series' here. So at the very least a limited theatrical release would be a success. As long as they advertised well enough.

Limited is not mainstream. I meant mainstream like with a Batman movie or soemthing

Looks like there's a lot of thoughts put on the way Anime Comics are arranged, with tries and retries for each page to see how to convey the desired impression, what panels should be eliminated for the dynamic, how some of them should be re-shaped, where the speech bubble should precisely appear, etc...

Foreign movies rarely get big releases here in the US. The last one that I remember was Jet Li's Fearless (I saw it in theaters when I was in High School) which open in 1,806 theaters. The other last ones that got big releases here was Godzilla 2000 and Hero. The Miyazaki movies are never big blockbusters here in the US.

Wow, this thread is probably the only one here that has OVER 9000 replies!
I know, I know, that's probably already been done to death in this topic.

Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)

I'm really enjoying those bits on Kaio-sama's planet. He and Gokû interacting is fun. XD
On hiatus.

I'm not sure, but then again releases outside Japan have been using fan arts.

Only one more week until the movie is out on Blu-Ray. I think fan subs will likely be out before we know it.
