Spike bashing ahead, if you're sick of me talking smack about Spike, please ignore this post.

Absolutely.
Well, that, and everything Spike has every put out taking the same route.
1. Scans - Shows characters we've seen over and over in the same arena's. Super Goku vs Freeza on Namek. Goku vs Vegeta in a generic wasteland. Graphics aren't too pretty, and the artistic direction is as bland and lifeless as ever.

2. Trailers - Looks exactly the same as previous games, maybe later trailers show a single new game-play mechanic (Except Raging Blast, which had nothing new to offer).

3. Final product - After a fan-wanking intro, we find it's just Sparking! with... "prettier" graphics.... Not much else to say.

Raging Blast 2 will be no different. After 3 sequels to Sparking, I honestly believe I can make this bold statement: It will be absolutely crap.

This game appears to be different though, I'm certainly interested in Tag VS! :D

While I can see where you're coming from Rory, I really think you should wait until you see something more than a minute trailer of the game before you pass judgement on it. Just saying.

I don't have a favorite developer or style when it comes to DB games. If it's good I'll play it until the next one comes out, but if the next installment is crap then I'll go back to the previous one.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Rory is steadily becoming one of my favourite users here. He definitely makes my top 5 users.

In response to this I checked out the official web page and to my surprise I couldn't find the "Spike" logo anywhere, despite the Namco Bandai logo being plastered right at the bottom left.
Though it's listed here as them being the developers, so we'll have to wait and see if that's true. Seems pretty legit to me though. If this game is as good as it looks, I must insist that they stop making Raging Blast titles, and focus on this series.

Does ayone know if this will be coming to the PSN for download for the PSPgo? I'm not so sure, since the Shin Budokai games were withdrawn from it... does anyone know why that is, BTW?

Wow, you're right, they've been taken down from the PSN. It must be because Atari was the one who uploaded them onto the PSN, and Atari no longer has the license to the franchise (even though they published both Shin Budokai titles on the PlayStation Store well after it was known Namco Bandai had world wide rights).

I asked Goku's Corner people about what's up on Tenkaichi Tag Team's future. They didn't know if it was going to be on PSN yet. They have to be incredibly short sighted if their license with FUNimation excludes digital rights to the games. Their license to [Viz's] Naruto doesn't extend to digital rights, hence, none of them are on PSN.

"Tankaichi Tag Team" actually makes a bit of sense! It's like Namco-Bandai took everything I hated about the title "Budoukai Tenkaichi" and tweaked it just enough that it doesn't irk me anymore!

As this is a PSP game, I may actually go for it. I can take the Sparking style of gameplay in small doses and I generally play my PSP in small doses if I have some downtime between events in my day and I'm bored.

Who knows? I might actually like this fighting system if I'm not forced to sit at home in front of my TV for long periods of time to progress in it.

E3 trailer was released, it's the same thing from the one leaked earlier as far as I can tell.

Sony showed the game in a montage in its press conference today, on a PSP Go, so maybe that implies a PSN release? They did show other titles with the 3000 series PSP, so it's not like they were just advertising the Go. Then again, they did show Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on a Go, a title that wasn't released on PSN in Japan...

Footage of Goku and Kuririn (who's of no help) against Ginyu and Jheese, and then Super Saiyan Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta against Freeza and Cell.

This seriously brings back memories of Legends.

After watching that clip, I really don't see why everyone is jizzing their fanboy pants. I mean, it's just Tenkaichi 3, except with 2 on 2 battles and worse graphics. Spike better add something more exciting or innovative in regards to the tag team battling or else I'm not buying the game.

The ability to free roam on a DBZ PSP game definitely seems nice. And the graphics seem nice themselves too.
I will give this game a go. Hopefully we'll get a release date as well soon enough.

I know it wasn't anything special but did anyone else notice that Sony threw in this game as part of the PSP line-up? I was excited, I think that was the first time Dragonball was shown during one of the press conferences.

Also, I'm really liking the gameplay footage. I'm really excited for this, so much so that I completely forgot about RB2.

*Runs to that thread to check for updates!*
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I'm looking foward to this more then I'm with RB2. I should rebuy a PSP to get this along with Persona 3, and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker.

A very, very slow paced legends where combos aren't reaching nearly 30, perhaps.
