It sounds like a terrible idea to me. Freeza is the last villain in Dragon Ball who should ever join forces with the good guys under any circumstances.

For goodness sakes, none of the other former villains killed anyone on the cast:

- Yamcha was just someone who robbed people in the desert.

- Tenshinhan was an assassin but he never did anything truly evil. He had a misguided teacher

- Piccolo never killed anyone like his father, nor did he take over the world in the 4 year span between the end of Dragonball to DBZ. When he killed Goku he said his death didn't even give him the feeling he expected.

- Vegeta never killed any of Goku's friends. That was Nappa and the Saibaman.

- 17 and 18 never killed anyone in the present timeline

- Buu expelled all evil from him. Even then Super Buu is the one who did the human extinction act



Freeza is not on the level of any of this. He cannot be redemeed or forgiven. There is a fine line they made for former antagonists who become good.

It's not about Freeza becoming good, he obviously won't, it's about the possibility of Goku acting all friendly and chummy with him like he does with Vegeta and Piccolo. This is the same Freeza who murdered his best friend Krillin right before his eyes and triggered his Super Saiyan transformation. And vowed to stop Freeze once and for all for the death of Vegeta and all the Saiyans.

Yes, but vegeta was a genocidal murderer and killed an entire village of innocent namekians who to our knowledge was never revived.

Not to mention, Goku was willing several times to let Freeza go, even after he killed his best friend. What does that say about him?

Possibility is the key word here. Nothing has happened yet. Feel free to freak out if/when Goku actually acts chummy with Freeza.

Also, in that same fight on Namek, Goku tried to spare Freeza, twice. Then again during ressurection F. It's not like Goku isn't capable of giving others a second shot regardless of what someone has done, whether it's a good idea or not. Not that, that means he is going to be friendly towards Freeza.
