1 - That site is quite a few posts back. And I gave it to you for you to leave a message instead of telling others. I know enough Japanese to get by.
2 - That's a good way to get Mike pissed at you, saying, "Oh, I'll continue until I get caught."
Kids these days... (-_-)

I dunno if ore is a great way to refer to yourself in a letter, but otherwise great. Thanks for taking the initiative!

If the scan quality was a tad better, I could do it. (My eyes suck, by the way.) And besides the stuff I'm doing for the website I help with, it'll be a while. (Unless someone else wants to do it. If so, they can be my guest :))

Sorry. I just now learned today that it's a very informal version of 'I'. I wish she would've taught us that earlier... (-_-)

I could surely give it a try, but since you initiated the conversation, I would first try to keep it between you guys. Just some troubleshooting tips, but did you try changing the encoding in your web-browser to Shift_JIS or Unicode? It's possible that you might interpret the characters correctly then.

Everything other thing Japanese on Firefox works fine, just not Yahoo...(T_T)

What kind of symbols are you getting? Mostly accented characters, or just blank boxes?

Try downloading Internet Explorer, then go to view and encoding. You might need to install a Japanese Language Pack first, but it should work after that.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

It's the accented ones. I have the Japanese language pack on my computer. I can type and everything in Japanese on my Yahoo, just not get E-Mails in Japanese.

Again, download Internet Explorer and try reading the email. It's free and you can uninstall it when you're done if you don't like it.

Have IE, checked, and it still doesn't work. Japanese characters can be read on anything on my IE or Firefox, just not Yahoo.

Have you tried forwarding the message to another email account you may have? That might help some... o_o;
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Copy and paste the e-mail here. Maybe someone here can view it. If not, I'll try my best to get in touch with him.

I am a bit confused. Have you tried changeing the encodig yet, or not?
I have got the same problem with my provider and e-mail that contain Japanese text. Usually everything is displayed properly, but whenever I want to read a Japanese mail, I have to change the encoding manually, becaus firefox does not pick the right one.

Another possibility would be if you install an e-mail client on your pc. I use mozilla thunderbird and it works just fine. Does yahoo support imap? Then your e-mails wold still be in your yahoo-inbox an not only on your computer.
My English is horrible. ;_;

If you have already tried that, just ignore this post.

*sigh* Too bad it will take about a month for his computer to be repaired.
