Meh. They've used footage from both of the other filler episodes of the Saiyaman Arc in Episode 3 of the "International Version". Could it be they wanted to have an episode where Videl is trying to discover his identity?.

From the images above it looks like the green tint is gone.

Could just be the auto white balance on the camera cancelling it out.

It seems that the cut of the first couple of episodes won't be that bad after all. That's great news.

Even though I enjoyed FUNimation's Kai dub of the OP/ED1 I personally don't feel that these new OP/ED songs feel like Dragon Ball at all, the only DB-ness to it is the footage that it shown as the music goes on. Of course it's just my opinion, I know.

I wish Toei Animation would have kept Dragon Soul for the theme song of the 'New Kai' and bring back Yeah! Break! Care! Break! than these new ones.

The soundtrack itself doesn't have that Dragon Ball feeling which Yamamoto gave to it, heck, even the limited amount of BGMs they used from Kikuchi-Z would've been better than Sumitomo's soundtrack for the sake of getting the feeling that it is Dragon Ball content.

P.S.: Sumitomo's music so far has been great though without getting the seal of DB-fied.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

With all the very different sounding US scores we've been getting in the past (including the Movies) DB doesn't really have one musical feel for me. The reason I don't want them to stick with existing themes is because they've already been used in enough episodes, and it's nice to have something fresh and new. Another reason is because I'd rather not miss out on what Japan is getting.

My family only watches it via YouTube. We later talk on phone. According to Hyung there is not green tint however it's darker(?). So we got a darker version instead of a green tint? Weird IMO. Summaito score is in according to him. I didn't ask bout the dubbing of opening. I'm stupid. There is some filler.

Great. Thank you so much for the info, it's greatly appreciated.

I can't seem to find any of the Korean footage anywhere which is a shame.

The same for me.I've searched on a dozen of video sharing sites by using the keywords "드래곤볼Z KAI", "드래곤볼Z KAI 3기-The Final Chapters"...I didn't find anything.I guess we should be more patient. :(

But Saban did license and air episodes 53-98 on Vortexx.

[Dragon Ball Z Kai no longer has a place to call home on U.S. television.]
Also worth noting that it has still been airing on Vortexx even after Nicktoons' contract ran out. So it has had a place to call home on U.S. television, just a very low rent place until Toonami picked it back up.

I'm gonna stick with the JPN version of Boo arc. From what I get, the international version will have more fillers, which defeats the purpose of Dragon Ball Kai, so I'm just going to ignore it.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Maybe the Japanese version hasn't got the extended battle filler and the international version does?
Still, i'm very disappointed, if i discover that the international version keeps shit like the Videl and Chichi ghost filler, or the inside Buu filler, i'm done with Kai.

Ok, the fourth ending theme will take over starting with Episode 112, apparently. Ok, so they are still going with multiple ones. That's cool. But please, oh please have those songs in the International Version. :( I will be so sad if we don't get those.

The arc from what i understand was already done before they made the decision to have it air in japan so i don't see why we won't get them
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

That's the exact reason why the international version is assumed NOT to have the songs we are currently hearing in the Japanese version, though. Toei had already exported the masters of the international ver. to other countries before Fuji decided to air the Buu arc, then Columbia newly provided Toei with the songs as a result of the broadcast in Japan. Especially when it comes to the tie-in songs, there is no possibility that the international version has them.

There's always the option of Toei sending them the new songs after the TV deal was secured, since nobody'd aired it yet anyway.

I cannot imagine that actually happening because producing new songs to sell CDs is Columbia's business in Japan and there is very little point for Toei in bothering to spend extra money for producing new masters and sending them which does nothing good to themselves. Maybe Columbia would pay, but I don't know it's worth it.

Also, my guess is that the newly drawn shots in the first trailer that aren't currently present in the Japanese version are actually from the opening or ending to the international version.

The new ending shown in the 45-second preview is remarkably "un-Dragon Ball-like." I don't remember having such a reaction to "Wings of the Heart"...

I think what would have to happen is the License holder (FUNimation, for example) will have to request the Opening and Endings themselves, possibly paying additional fees. Since it's probably going to be awhile before we see the Boo arc here, I could see FUNimation requesting the new Opening and Ending animations (textless) and songs for their release, though how they'll be applied to the episodes, is anyone's guess.
