It says provisional next to the titles of 36 and 38, does that mean they can change?

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Thats alright, he just did 5 consecutive episodes(including 35). Also did 28 & 29. So I dont mind him not being present for a few more episodes, he could very well be writing few episodes of next arc already but who knows.derpgoku wrote:Yea but not the future ones like 36 and 37 and 38Sodhi wrote:He is doing the next episode.derpgoku wrote:Sooo no more king ryu for a while

Episode 35WhisPL wrote:
Summary 1: In the tournament between Universe 6 and 7, Frost, from Universe 6, who defeated both Son Goku and Piccolo was confirmed to have stealthily used a poison needle and was disqualified. But, an angry Vegeta says Frost doesn't need to be disqualified since he'll defeat him.
Summary 2: The real identity of Frost, the hero of Universe 6 who crushed both Goku and Piccolo, was that of an horrible man that started wars and bought the ravaged lands by a cheap price. "I'll defeat this bastard with my own hands", said Vegeta with an imposing smile.
Strange that they are basically describing episode 34, but whatever.
Episode 36
Summary 1: The new "if you touch the barrier, even in midair, it''s an out-of-bonds loss" rule was established after the battle of Vegeta versus Frost. Meanwhile, Vegeta, being cornered by the attacks of his next opponent Magetta, the Metalman from Universe 6, turned Super Saiyajin to aim for a turn of tables but...
Summary 2: Vegeta defeated Frost with one merciless attack. But, a new rule was established for the remaining maches. From now on, as soon as one touches the barrier, even in midair, it will be an "out-of-bounds loss". The next opponent of Vegeta is Magetta, the Metalman. With a sturdy body and diverse attacks, he gets Vegeta cornered...
Episode 37
Vegeta's next opponent is the Saiyajin from Universe 6, Cabba. Cabba shows he figths evenly with Vegeta even in base but says he can't transform into a Super Saiyajin.

Wow...so a prediction of the fights (who fights who/wins) I made the other day seems to be true. Nice! Now if they show Vados doing anything bad then I'll be happy to think that I also predicted it.
I'm interested in seeing Vegeta fight Magetta.

I think Magetta is probaly stronger or just a better fighter and I bet the only way Vegeta wins is by ring out and then he loses to Cabe. I dont know how people can't say this is too much screen time for Vegeta and there is no way he is getting 4 matches.alakazam^ wrote:Episode 35WhisPL wrote:

It looks like 3 episode for Vegeta, 1 for Goku and 0.5 for Piccolo.

Per par, the Vegeta wank continues. I'm willing to bet 200$ that Toei changed Toriyama's script to accommodate him going on a 2 win streak at least
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
It's strange Vegeta gets this much spotlight but I guess Toriyama wants to hype Hit up and then have Monaka fight him.

If I had to meta-guess, I'd say Vegeta's VA being so much younger than Gokû's VA played a part in the order in which they fought.
It could've been stacked to have Piccolo go first, then Gokû, then Vegeta and evened out the screen time more that way.
I do hope we get some inner monologue from Vegeta in these fights as long as he has so many.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Hmmm, I'm thinking that perhaps in the NEP, when Hit wipes out Frost, he does it with stealth. Maybe that also prompts the scene where Beerus and Champa look like they're mad at each other. Maybe one thinks the other did something. That'd be interesting. I'm surprised my fight predictions turned out to be true! Now I just need Vados to do something bad and it'll be an ace.
Shaping to be an interesting story indeed!

You should get used to it, he's the 2nd main character which means he's going to get a lot of screen time.SaiyanZ wrote:The Vegeta wank continues.

This would be another GT if Toie had their way with the script.
Why can't you just accept that Toriyama likes using Vegeta in his story ? He had a major role in all of Z so I don't get why this is so surprising to some people.

I assume the scene of them arguing is for setting up the new rule. Maybe Vegeta sends Frost flying through the barrier or whatever.DainIronfoot wrote:Hmmm, I'm thinking that perhaps in the NEP, when Hit wipes out Frost, he does it with stealth. So the reason Vegeta forced Piccolo to forfeit is just to one shot Frost... Why is the fight even a thing?
This is completely pointless and stupid.

Yeah, you're right.Zombie wrote:

But I am pretty sure Piccolo wins his fight in the Manga, the Anime isn't Akira Toriyama's style. Am I the only one who thinks so?
My English is not perfect. Please excuse this.

Because Piccolo getting one-shot by Magetta wouldn't be pointless & stupid.Zombie wrote:

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

So that we can laugh at the reactions Piccolo fans have towards it.Zombie wrote:

EVERYTHING we're seeing is from Toriyama so you should just accept that.SaiyanGirl wrote:I am pretty sure Piccolo wins his fight in the Manga, the Anime isn't Akira Toriyama's style. Am I the only one who thinks so?

I don't think Toei would make that big of a change.SaiyanGirl wrote:Yeah, you're right.

Maybe there will be some worldbuilding from those two or maybe Frost needs to be defeated this way for something else to trigger. Like, I don't know why Champa would not want to destroy him after warning him this past episode so I'm thinking Frost loses and tries to run away, which is the reason Hit goes after him.
