Overall, I was very happy with the movie. I didnt mind the CGI for the backgrounds and its only really noticeable in one part of Goku's battle with Bills. Otherwise it was fine. My gripes on Super Saiyan God aside, the fight was stunning. How they kept it so fast paced and in 2D animation no less. Bills is a awesome character, his scenes were some of the funniest after the "Yes Sir" moment and what follows after.
The credits were something else, as emotional as the GT ending for me.

Goku's boots transform into a completely different pair of boots in ssjg form. I didn't notice this until I compared the character sheets on the blu-ray.

Wha - That's awesome! I'm surprised nobody noticed that and pointed it out before now. Heck, people noticed the Cure Slime in the aquarium pretty quickly.

I pointed it out in the topic before this one. lol :P I just made it spoilers cause I didn't want to ruin it for anyone but the cat's out of the bag now :P  I hope Funimation does a great job dubbing this and keeps the original japanese music in it.

Got this in around 6:30 PM EST. So, about 7 hours after is was out for delivery. Popped it in and it was pretty awesome. Really enjoyed it. I thought it was worth the money. Probably gonna watch it again tomorrow.

So apparently the "And More...?" message that was in the Chozenshuu is included on the Movie History page of the booklet that comes with the special edition. They're really pushing that, aren't they?

I welcome any further movies. They really popped the top off the can with the 12 universes concept. That alone just opened the door to well..anything now in DBZ. I dont know whats in store with SSJG but future movies could easily boil down to fighting the other Hakaishin, but a interesting twist would be whatever universe they entered, they were bound by its laws. What if a universe makes them all children, or keeps the Saiyans from entering Super Saiyan forms? Tons of possibilities and potential here.

Mike posted this on Twitter just now:
It was everything I wanted
Who wants to bet that the podcast review will simply be 40 minutes of incomprehensible fanboy gushing?

In terms of another movie, I think there's a high chance that we'll since see something next year, given that the Manga will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in the last few months of 2014. Now that they know the interest is there with their safe formula of simply "celebrating the franchise and characters", I think the next movie will allow them to be more ambitious with the story. They do have a lot to elaborate on and there are so many directions that they can go.

Also, the blog entry I posted above has something about an interview with Takeshi Kusao at the bottom and there's a red box around one of his answers. Anyone wanna give me an idea of what it's about? Thanks.

If they're like BOG, only with a bigger budget, I'm all for "and more...".
BOG Goku is not only very close to Jump 08 special Goku in personality (poor Vegeta XD ) but he also has adorable, magenta, magical power-up now; I would love to see more of him.
Also more Vegeta and Bulma interacting; they were so enjoyable together in this.

I noticed that too, I was wondering about if the previous "and more" had a question mark or not, as this one doesn't.

The movie was fantastic.

A little underwhelming near the end and they needed to make the fighting a little easier to make out (less CG aura, more focus on choreography), and it would have been nice for everyone else to have gotten some more chances, but other than that? I had a ton of fun. Fantastic performances from everyone involved, one of my FAVORITE new villains, a good score, BEAUTIFUL animation (for the most part, there are some sequences that are a little awkward), and the actual plot itself was quite entertaining.

Although those flaws in the timeline were annoyingly prevalent, I can forgive them because I can tell a lot of love still went into the movie. Goku is fantastic in it and it's great to see a more mellowed out Vegeta, considering this IS after the Buu saga.

... Here's hoping for Super Saiyan God Vegeta next time. I WANT HIM TO BE BLLUUEE

YES! Someone agrees with me on the blue hair  .

I believe Kei said that he did Pilaf and company's introduction. He seems to be pretty high up on the list so I have to wonder how much more he did?

Finally watched it! The whole Goku and Birus fight was amazing! Loved how the scenery kept changing while they fought. And oh man when Hero started playing, that was the best. Everything else that followed that was pretty good too.

It was also nice seeing Vegeta finally kick some ass for a brief moment.

But I have to say I wasn't feeling the first half of the movie. Pilaf was annoying.. But not enough to ruin the movie.

I don't have subtitles and don't know the Japanese lingo...but what was Pilaf and the others doing there? just trying to steal the dragonball? :P

I also back the idea of ssjg Vegeta with blue hair. (Someone did a really nice photoshop edit of it on here a while back, do not recall who).

Also! Ssjg Goku and base Goku beside one another. Gives a good reference for just how different the body types are.

Pretty much. I think it was to make themselves older, or gain their adult bodies back because Mai tells Bulma shes 41. No idea how they got their kid bodies but yeah, were there for the balls.

Pilaf is upset about their situation, revealing that some time ago, when he had become very old, they had finally managed to gather the Dragon Balls in order to have Shenlong grant their wish. Concerned that there would be no point in ruling the world only to die soon after, he instead wished for Shenlong to restore his youth… but Shenlong made himself, Shuu, and Mai a little too young, and now they are all stuck as children. This time Pilaf wants to wish for a lot of money, since he is sick of living in poverty.
