I have to admit I don't post anymore on that thread since discord's group...
But I'm still very interested in animation, and we're talking about it nonstop in that discord's group. You guys really should join us

Are there any public links to the Discord? I enjoy getting to engage in animation discussions, but I don't believe I've seen any links to an animation Discord in all my short time at Kanzenshuu's forums.
By jove, I've got nothing important to say!

Episode 120

Animation Supervisors
Tanaka Chihiro Shimanuki Masahiro

Assistant Supervisors
Kusunoki Tomoko Matsui Kyosuke

Key Animators
Kusunoki Tomoko Hoshino Reika Kinoshita Yui Tanaka Chihiro Takagi Hiroaki Matsui Kyosuke Abe Sakuya Yamaoka Sei Kuma Mirai Sato Shun Fujimoto Koki Miyazawa Nao Teramoto Akira Matsuo Shunsuke Sakai Yuki Toyomasu Takahiro Higashide Futoshi Shimanuki Masahiro Kajiwara Kouhei Sasakado Nobuyoshi Otsuka Ken Nobuzane Setsuko Nakasawa Yuuichi Tu Yong-ce Mura Shuntaro

2nd Key Animators
Toei Phils. Asahi Production

Strong first half from Studio Wanpack! I enjoyed that a lot more than Shimanuki's half. Not really sure what's going on with him this tournament - he's a bit all over the place. At least his personally robotic animation worked well... with the robots.

The thing that stood out the most to me was the storyboard. Kiyosato Yamamoto seems to have some serious skill. Hope to see more episodes from him under good directors and animators. Lots of potential there.

Ken Otsuka most likely did the gattai, but he usually tweets about his work, so I'll wait for confirmation. Those more familiar with his style pointed to some scenes in the first half as being his too, but I've yet to take a closer look.

Hakamada's looking good in the NEP. Seems very much in line with his contributions on Z and GT. Hopefully Karasawa's also on point. It's been far too long since we last saw a great deal of him. The little moment in 114 wasn't enough!

Yes, the Discord pretty much killed this thread.

Fun fact, Gohan's Kamehameha in this episode was the same as when he used on Borareta in their first scuffle. Same animation ;D

Bonus fun fact, that same scene first appeared in episode 103.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

This episode looked fine to me and I just can't wait until Takahashi's episode in January.

I have to tip my hat to him. This was better than what I was expecting. Espically after just watching Star Wars the Last Jedi before this episode.

-Episode 120-

The art was great but once again, nothing memorable in the animation.
The direction and the writing was the best part. If Yamashita is used to write team battles, they should just had pick him up sooner. It's important to have writers like that in a battle royal of this scale.

Next episode - Toshio + Karasawa. It will be good.

On a side note, I'm glad the new Movie is only scheduled for December 2018. I was worried they would be greedy and schedule it for Summer, so knowing they didn't it was a relief.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

It was good overall but man there were some really bad shots in there sprinkled throughout.
