I hope the movie won't get any more Saint Seiya, but I wish for some fighter that has lot's of detail and decorations, humanoid, like Bojack and his crew were for example.
I have this crazy image in my head, but I can't translate it right now to paper. But I would love some armor and oldschool look.
I really enjoy that filler at the end of DB, as Goku goes with Chi-Chi to that furnace. I would love something more Asian/Oriental like that again.

I like detailed outfits, but the only thing I'd worry about is that "do they have the animators to pull it off well?" because I remember how amazingly detailed Toei's Suite Precure costumes were and how that tended to limit the characters' physical battles because of all the extra drawing that would have to go on adding all those details compared to other series that had fewer details on their costumes. (Where on the flip side there was way more time and effort gone into the transformation sequences as a good example of how cool detailed costumes animated can look).

With ancient-styled bad guys; were there any interesting antagonists in Journey to the West that haven't been given any shout outs in DB (manga or anime) yet?

Well, it is certainly harder to draw [overly] complex designs on as short a schedule as this film appears to have. That and just because a design is detailed it does not mean it will be drawn by talented animators.

I think I'd like to see Vegeta get a movie-only outfit the way most of the rest of the cast got in BOG. I realize that "just because he wore this outfit in the Cell arc doesn't mean he can't wear it again" and that the outfit he wore for most of the Buu arc was because he can't wear armor to the tournament, but it still feels jarring to me to see that Cell arc uniform return because I'm so used to him changing his outfit each arc. (I guess it's odd in a way that Yamcha's long hair is back in BOG, but doesn't feel as odd because he'd gone the past two arcs with it short, so the gap of in-story time was longer.)

Felt similarly armor-wise with the Cell arc armor recycle in the Jump 08 special too; different clothes would be nice (and creates a greater amount of merchandise "exclusives".)

I'd like something new and unique to the movie though; in the way that the majority of the cast received in BOG. That's the reason I wasn't fond of seeing the Cell arc armor recycled. I didn't care for the majority of GT's clothing anyway; a lot of it is just very heavily dated-looking at this point (Pan and Bura's clothes in GT practically scream mid-90's from the top of their lungs). Vegeta's shiny pants weren't the worst of it (his haircut and mustache made me sad, though I think design-wise, Goten's hair and Trunks' clothes suffered most) but I really don't want to see anything invoking memories of GT, imo. ^^;

I'm with ya. Getting pretty tired of seeing Vegeta in his Cell arc armor.. I didn't even like it during the jump special. I really wouldn't mind him wearing anything else, even his badman shirt.

I rather have new designs then character outfits we seen before. GT Vegeta's design is cool, but I always like his Cell saga armor look better. Maybe in the new movie, Vegeta will get a new battle armor to used in battle.

I wouldn't mind if they redesigned all the characters outfits for the new movie. Sort of like they did with One Piece Strong World and Film Z which was surely so they could sell new merchandise.

I worried that we won't, not only because in the trailer Goku was shown to wear his saiyan saga Gi, but I think Toriyma wants him like he was just like in Battle of Gods. Unless the movie takes place after the 28th TB.

it might go like this. goku realizes that gohan and goten arent worthy to protect the earth because they dont train. and oob becomes a fodder to characters like bills
so in the end goku might have to stay permanently on earth and becomes the father of anime SUPER OP AND OMNIPOTENT. END OF STORY

I think, at the elbows. I kinda like this armor, somewhat Marelish, or DC.
