So Future Trunks is probably going to return.....

I never really cared that much about Trunks as a character, so I don't really have much of an opinion on this. If it is him, I just hope that they try to fit it in without making it seem too fan-fictiony.

I want him to return but not do much fighting as he is another Saiyan and we have Goten, young trunks and Gohan doing nothing.

SSj White .Probably just Super Saiyan 2 at least.I doubt he ever reached SSj3.Not even Vegeta was able to reach it.But who knows.

Though i wonder if Trunks have ever met Beerus in his timeline.

Between the Buu arc and BOG is 4 years so that would've been more than enough time for him to reach it which is why I think he chose not to and Goku said he could teach it to Gohan who at the time of him saying that was weaker than Vegeta so I don't think it's that hard to reach.

Currently, he reached Ssjg level of power on his own so we know for a fact that he can use it if he wanted to.

Beerus wanted to fight the person who defeated Freeza so with Goku dead Whis might've told him that there was someone else who not only defeated him but killed him.

I think Toriyama was talking about Frieza when he mentioned the colour clash with white and not a new upcoming villain.

He wasn't, he's talking about the new enemy we haven't seen yet. He's saving SSG White for later.

I seriously doubt Toriyama had made future plans for the design of a new villain when he wrote the story for RoF.

You shouldn't be surprised. Toriyama planned for Freeza to come back before he even made Battle of Gods.

Super Saiyan 3 is hard to reach.It took Goku years to achieve it.And that was when he was in the otherworld.I doubt Trunks would train much harder than Vegeta unless he have a strong reason for it.

Yeah but these days they aren't paying him to draw the manga. His only job is to come up with the story and new characters.

The only characters with white hair are Whis & Vados, right now. So the next enemy could be one of their own race. With him/her/it beeing weaker then Beerus. And as we saw Whis can turn back time. So one of their kind could have greater time traveling power. That's the reason why Future Trunks could be involved.

But with the white vs blue hair I thought it could had to do with Freezar.

In my opinion Whis & Beerus are getting stronger, too. And I hope they will dig into the Namekian Book of Legends legend, maybe if they encounter Zarama.

I agree with a lot of this. When i heard the next villian has white hair i thought Vados (or maybe Whis). Every episode she is kind of sort of being hinted as evil. (I know not evil, but someone who is very sarcastic and doesn't seem to care much about Champa.) I also do hope we see the super dragonballs being summoned and get to see what Zarama looks like.

Don't really mind if Trunks returns, just as long as he's handled well a la One Piece, and not just terrible fan service like Resurrection F and Freeza.

On a more important note...

I bet he'll look like DBO/ Xenoverse Trunks. He doesn't really have to age since he has a time machine, but even if he did I don't think they'll change him much since saiyans age slow.

I hope you know that just because he said he woild save it for later many things can change and he could in the end not use it at all.

Like pointed out, there's no "white hair" anywhere and I'm pretty sure Toriyama means Freeza because it's in the context of coming up with the color blue for Fukkatsu no F. Besides, despite it making no sense he'd think about an enemy further down the line when he had to worry about the movie at hand, Toriyama doesn't plan that far ahead. He didn't even know what story to tell when they told him they wanted a second movie.

An existing, popular character, related to the future? Yeah, not that many options

Also, it's interesting no one talked about Toei following Toyotarou's manga.

Nothing that interesting. It just says Universe 7 has one win left because of Vegeta but Hit turns out to be really strong.
