This was probably already discussed, but since I'm a newbie, you guys will forgive me.
Why didn't Shenron restore Frieza's body when he revived him? Krillin and Chiaotzu exploded, but their bodies were restored when they revived. Maybe Shenron was being a smartass and purposely granted the wish halfassedly because he knew Frieza was bad.

Porunga specifically says that he put Kuririn's body back together as a special bonus, or something like that.

Jaco came and left. He still has friends here. He lives elsewhere. He can come and leave as he pleases.
Tarble came. We don't know if he left. He made new friends here. He lives elsewhere. He can come and leave as he pleases.
You don't have to like how it's written. That's fine. But... like... characters are allowed to do things.
At this point, however, the discussion has little to do with Revival of "F", seeing as how Tarble isn't confirmed to be a part of it in any way.
But was Dende in Battle of Gods or even final chapter? I wonder of he'll make a cameo appearance here since it's like a Namek.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Wasn't it specifically mentioned in Battle of Gods that Tarble went home to his planet and therefor couldn't take part in the SSJ God ceremony?
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Working on the good faith that Toriyama felt like giving Jako a good reason to be in the film, I have to wonder if Jako was not assigned to take in Freeza. In fact, this might just be Toriyama's out to merely killing Freeza after having just brought him back. Perhaps Freeza will be arrested? That doesn't quite explain why Sorbet was so confident that Freeza could go about stabilizing his empire, though. After all, would not Sorbet be afraid of the Ginga Patrol, even if Freeza was brought back, if the Ginga Patrol was enough of a threat they could contain Freeza?
...that might be more dot-connecting than Toriyama is used to doing, though.

Bulma asks Vegeta something like "don't you have a brother?" to which he responds something like "I don't know where he is and I didn't get his phone number."snaku wrote:Wasn't it specifically mentioned in Battle of Gods that Tarble went home to his planet and therefor couldn't take part in the SSJ God ceremony?
Don't have the dialog right in front of me, so don't quote me on that

Yeah, in any case it's obvious he doesn't hang out with the Z senshi often enough for them to even know what he's up to or where he lives. No reason for him to show up in End of Z, especially since he doesn't like fighting.VegettoEX wrote:Bulma asks Vegeta something like "don't you have a brother?" to which he responds something like "I don't know where he is and I didn't get his phone number."snaku wrote:Wasn't it specifically mentioned in Battle of Gods that Tarble went home to his planet and therefor couldn't take part in the SSJ God ceremony?

Tarble is so weak that's not even worth to remember... Vegeta's brother could be a more ruthless character like the former self in the Saiyan Saga

Yet he is kind and not a fighter, to contrast Vegeta. Also, weak characters are gonna be in the movie, like Master Roshi, Jaco, Bulma and more. Jaco is certainly going to be there for comedy and entertainment, and Roshi is actually going to fight, as is Bulma, so everyone has a place in this movie. I am sure they could find one for Tarble. That said, I don't expect him to be in the movie, but itnwould be nice if he was.Kakarot9001 wrote:Tarble is so weak that's not even worth to remember... What does his strength have to do with him being worth remembering? What would have been gained from him being a "more ruthless character"? The entire joke was about how gentle and passive he was.Kakarot9001 wrote:Tarble is so weak that's not even worth to remember... It would be nice to see Tarble again. I'm not sure if he will appear in a film because Toriyama himself didn't personally write his character in any medium before. I do hope he does, though, because it would be fun to see if he and Gure have added to their family. That's some good gag stuff waiting to happen!

The hell do people want Tar(as in the actual word)-ble back for?

I'm not so sure about that. They need to explain why on earth Goku was so excited to fight a Kid Buu level fighter in Uub when both him and Vegeta are obviously leaps ahead of Kid Buu strength at this point.Kamiccolo9 wrote:The end of Z covers a period of a few hours out of one day. 1) Kami personally restored Chaozu's body so he could train with it in the afterlife, while Krillin's body was restored as a special favor on the part of Porunga.Sandubadear wrote:This was probably already discussed, but since I'm a newbie, you guys will forgive me.
Why didn't Shenron restore Freeza's body when he revived him? Krillin and Chiaotzu exploded, but their bodies were restored when they revived. Maybe Shenron was being a smartass and purposely granted the wish halfassedly because he knew Freeza was bad.
2) Shenron explains to Sorbet that it wouldn't be worth trying to revive Freeza due to how long it's been since Freeza died. He explains that because of how much time has past, it's no longer within his power to revive him and fully restore his body. Sorbet orders Shenron to revive him anyway and that they'll use their tech to fix the body.

Kami restored Chaozu's body actually, if I remember correctly.Sandubadear wrote:This was probably already discussed, but since I'm a newbie, you guys will forgive me.

I could see some finding Shenlong being like here to be problematic. "Why didn't he do that with Daimao then?" Easy reply would be that magical wish granting dragons are allowed to learn from their mistakes and undergo character development.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Agreed....but he's not really memorable. I always forget he even exists. Arguably Gine is the same joke as Tarble was, being the gentle passive saiyan.....or worse they say she is partly the reason for Goku's behaviour.KaiserNeko wrote:What does his strength have to do with him being worth remembering? Look at the context of what I was quoting. I was talking about anything about Tarble being present or not.

True on all accounts, actually. I just find Kakarot9001's sentiment that "weak" characters aren't memorable to be ridiculous, along with his idea of how he "should have been".dbzfan7 wrote:Agreed....but he's not really memorable. As for Jaco showing up... I don't know how I feel about that. I love Jaco, but he better be used well. Otherwise it really is sort of pointless for him to be there.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Totally. Weak ain't forgettable. Muten Roshi is weak now, weaker than Tarble probably, but he's very interesting to me. Always loved when he'd be the wise member of the group, then make everyone question if he's really so wise when he's up to his shenanigans. I'd love more of those moments to return. Muten Roshi could be used for more than just fights in the new movie, or for the usual perv joke.KaiserNeko wrote:True on all accounts, actually.
