But it's clearly this massive surge of "Blue Ki" that suddenly rushes from earth to his body. He clearly is seen to absorb this ki, before reviving again. It's never explained what really happened.

Just watched it! Gotta admit, the digital animation and effects made it look pretty cheap at times.

Still, I laughed out loud several times throughout the movie, and the fights were good.
The movie was a little more low-key than I was expecting, but a lot of fun regardless. Definitely looking forward to seeing this again with some good subs after we get an official release!

New Battle of Z trailer shows off Birus and Whis' English voices near the end (around 2:20): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwIs718L2eU

Can't tell who is voicing Beerus, but Whis seems to be voiced by Ian Sinclair if I am hearing that right. Unless he's voicing Beerus, I have my voices mixed up. I recognize both of their voices from other FUNimation dubs, but I can't place names to them.

I like Schemmel's delivery of "I'll show you the power of a Super Saiyan GOD!". But, the trailer compared to the European trailer shows that we're getting replacement music and a different cover from Japan/Europe. Which shouldn't surprise anybody.

Uh yeah, that is the absolute wrong voice for Birusu. Uisu has a decent one, though.

The FIRST DBZ game in over 2 years!
I couldn't help but laugh at that.

As for Birusu and Whis' voices, I think they sound alright.

They sound like they don't know their characters too well. I'll wait till I hear more before further judgement, but I'm just unsure about these choices....especially Beerus'.

The more I listen to them, the more I'm liking them.

But yeah, we need more footage or audio to better hear them.

Plus, Video Game lines aren't always the best judge. But, at least this gives Beerus' and Whis' voice actors some familiarity before they go and do Battle of Gods.

Haha, it's gonna bother me that I can't pinpoint who their actors are (or at least Beerus) when I know I've heard his voice in some other dub.
I'm almost certain Whis is Ian Sinclair sounds a bit like his Brook.

Given Goku's attitude towards the form in the film, something about that line feels a tad off. :?

True, but sounds good in the context of the video game. Especially since Video Games tend to have tired deliveries.

Over the top much..... I don't like the voices for whis and beers... Granted they may have not seen the film(who knows?) so I'll give them that. I'm not going to judge a voice just from 5 words.
Felt like an early late 90s/early 2000s game ad.

The first "NEW" DBZ game in over 2 years actually seems right but this is going in a better direction, Budokai > Raging blast pretty much felt the same that and other than Super DBZ there has yet to be any good DB fighter.
This just seems like a better DBZ Legends to me.

The first game in over 2 years does make sense given that the Kinect game never got a Japanese release from what I've been told. If Battle of Z comes out next year, it will be the first console DBZ game released in Japan since 2011.

Beers voice doesn't really fit as far as I'm concerned. It might grow on me I guess. Whis sounds great though.

That trailer was fucking horrible. Is this the 90's?! Jesus, that narrator. I cringed the entire way through.

Whis' voice is great but damn, Birus just doesn't sound right. I can't see that voice switching to the anger shown by Yamadera after the pudding scene. That was terrifying.

Also, Schemmel is sounding far too heroic...yet again. Really not feeling it. I guess in video games, you kinda have to play up that side of Goku so perhaps it'll more toned down for the film's release.
