Maybe the latest fighter will also be evil, who knows. I would prefer if he was a (good) dead who kept his body in the afterlife and kept training so he would be stronger than Goku but weaker than Beerus.
Change the end of the Freeza re-telling arc, begrudgingly bring Freeza along for the fight as a team member... (?!?).
I think he means Piccolo, Vegeta and Buu; VegettoEX.
Oh my bad.

I really hope the new person is either cool, or maybe some really tiny shrimp that is far more powerful than it looks. The second is more in line with Dragon Ball. I want some cute tiny person who you'd never expect to be so powerful, but when it fights, it just becomes one of the most terrifying things in the universe. Like the bunny rabbit from Monty Python and The Holy Grail. Anything like that would be so funny.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
No, I get that... simply suggesting something else that could have been interesting for Universe 7 to do (and/or have Champa recruit Freeza to fight on HIS team instead).

The hype!! Mah boy Piccolo is on the roster, not really sure how I should feel about Boo but heck with it, so U7 team is full of aliens.
Really excited to see the design and personality of the guy/girl who gave Beerus a fun time 900 years ago who's the #1 strongest fighter he fought, I can already see Goku wanting to spar with him/her.
Piccolo's fighting? Maybe this means a design upgrade just like Goku and Vegeta got. I always figured he'd look good in a white gi, like in some games, or something similar to that. The question I really have, though, is: How will he become strong enough to truly compete? He's not exactly a Super Saiyan Blue. This also goes for Buu.
Looks like this is getting interesting. Who could the fifth warrior be? Pikkon? I wonder...
Probably Kanzenshuu's biggest Bulla fangirl. Current avatar: DBU Bulla as Sailor Princess Sadala, based on Sailor Moon: Cosmic Dance
Dragon Ball Ultimate - 78 out of 150 chapters complete JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Action Blue - link Sailor Moon: Mindful of Love - link | Sailor Moon: Cosmic Dance - link

That would be very interesting to see how they would all interact with Frieza. Btw I love when you guys speculate about this kind of stuff on the podcast, it gets me hyped!!
Piccolo doesn't need to get to God Tier. I would think it's hard to get people that strong. Champa weakest fighter might very well be SSJ tier.
I would really dig, if Kuririn went with Bulma and Jaco. Kuririn could be the Patrolman on Earth, his current cop job could be foreshadowing. In the trip, Jaco would apply a test (or something of that sort). In FnF they had a little chat, exchanging compliments. It's not far fetched.

This is kind of what I was hoping for when Fukkatsu no F came out. Freeza begrudgingly accepts he can't defeat Gokuu and Vegeta but realizes that training has already take him quite far so he decides to retreat to train more. Of course, part of Freeza's charm was that he didn't change and for that he died. Then again, having the Trunks from the Future kill Freeza also pretty much tossed out the good ending Freeza got on Namek, so I suppose anything is possible.
I'm actually really intrigued by Buu's inclusion. It makes me think that Uni 6 may have there own Buu creature.
The Twel-Buu mysteries state that our Buu has been around since time immemorial, so maybe Uni 6 also have a Buu like creature that has practically always been around.
With Uni 6 and Uni 7 being twin universes it doesn't seem too far fetched.
Anyway, I'm really liking the sound of this new arc it truly seems like classic Toriyama! I can't wait to see who this super powerful person is that fought Beerus previously. Considering Goku was considered to be the most powerful in the Universe for so long it's strange that there's somebody like that around. I just wonder if this person can be trusted, as they could so easily turn into the main villain if they get there hands on the Super DB's and have ill intentions.

This is getting very interesting. Kinda disappointed that at least one of the kids aren't involved. But I wonder who this new character is. Kinda hoping it ends up being a makaioshin, unless it's someone we already know. Who else in this universe could possibly be so strong?
But I wonder what kind of fighters Champa will pull. I'm guessing at least one of them will be a U6 version of somebody already. But I am glad Piccolo and Buu are in the tournament, but how will they get sronger? They couldn't even touch Beerus in BOG, so I'm guessing the will probably train with Whis.
Are there scans of the manga? I know its against the rules to post it. But can someone please say if those scans are online so i can at least search for them on the internet.
From the looks of things, it looks like Champa isn't evil, since he doesn't seem to have any second intentions with the Super DBs (since he's not hiding them from Beerus and even gives them as a prize). Which makes me wonder if the arc will have a villain, or whether it'll just be a fun 21st TB-esque tournament with little stakes (I mean, sure the Earths will switch, but does that really matter?).
