Shigeru Chiba shoulda played Burdock.
Then you get Nozawa as all of the Earth-bound members of Son's family, and you get Chiba as all of the Saiyan Space-bound ones.
Shigeru Chiba was awesome as Raditz.

I doubt that, Shigeru-san was awesome (never heard of his voice). But Justin Cook's Raditz was freaky and cool in the Saiyan arc IMO.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:100% agreed.DemonRin wrote:Saying this now.

If you've never heard his voice, how do you know it's awesome?SilverPlaqueVII wrote:

Nappa's still voiced by Phil Parsons, so maybe that's why he sounds like he's still voiced by Phil Parsons.dragondyle wrote:Despite Nappa having a new voice, he sounds the same to me as well.
Wait. Really? I could have sworn I saw Nappa having a different actor in the changed actors list. *goes and checks list* Yup! One person comments after this article about the lack of cursing in DBZ. Well I have news for you fans, there WILL be cursing in DBZ Kai, but probably only for the DVD release. I seriously doubt that would air on television. I have had to say shit and dammit many times, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I wouldn't mind if they went the VIZ route and just used other exclamations in place of swears but instead Funi usually does that ridiculous pseudo swearing nonsense. I'm not expecting Anime Labs fansub swearing but it takes me out of the moment to hear these guys going "WELL GOLLY, THIS DARN GUY IS TOO STRONG!"NeoKING wrote:... Actually when it comes to swears Funi ain't that bad... Check out their One Piece releases. Their pseudo/quasi-swearing deal still captures the moment, so I don't have a problem with it.Blue wrote:I wouldn't mind if they went the VIZ route and just used other exclamations in place of swears but instead Funi usually does that ridiculous pseudo swearing nonsense. Captures the moment? I think there's a big difference between someone saying Damn you and Darn you. In fact I've never heard the latter used outside of jest.NeoKING wrote:

Not me. I hear "Darn you" just as much as the former, and not in jest.Blue wrote:Captures the moment? I think there's a big difference between someone saying Damn you and Darn you. In fact I've never heard the latter used outside of jest.NeoKING wrote:

Really? Even at my angriest I'll hardly say things like "Crap" or "Piss".penguintruth wrote: If I get a cut on my knee I'm cursing like a sailor. Goku should at least be able to say "damn" or "crap".

Yeah, same. In fact, I don't hear things like "Darn you" in jest unless someone's making fun of it being used in a show. All the rest of the time it's being seriously used, and it's more frequent than actual swearing.Big Momma wrote:Not me. I only swear if I'm so angry I'm not even thinking straight at the moment. Otherwise I'll typically spout off a bunch of nonsense instead.Big Momma wrote:Really? Haha, but then again...I'm the kind of person who grunts or growls (Like in the series when they go "kkkkkgghghkkk!") whenever I stub my toe or something.
