I just want it after DBZ because I'm just tired of being in the 10 year gap between Buu and the 28th Tenkachi Budokai. Can we just move on to the next time era please. We had two movies and one animated special set in the 10 year gap after Buu.

While I wouldn't mind some EoZ stuff, I'd also not expect it...with how much stuff is now packed between Buu and EoZ, we may have to prepare ourselves for if Toriyama decides to drop the end of Z section. Cause to me that looks like the direction he's going...But again we'll have to wait and see where Super lands in the timeline.

I'm starting to feel that Toriyama does not really want to make Uub a main character or write for him. I believe that he never intended to flesh the character out since he is at the end of the series/manga. Now if he were to pick up where he left off, he'd have to flesh him out and because he went with Goku make him a main character with the rest of the cast. Maybe he doesn't really want to do that anymore. I mean he came up with the character like 20 years ago and I assume when you create a character in your mind it comes with all their personality and such and you have an idea of where to take them. Being 20 years later and considering Toriyama's forgetfulness, perhaps he just doesn't remember much about him and thus has little to zero interest in exploring it.

That'd be disappointing if she vanishes without a trace. I really want to see interaction between her and Vegeta.

Didn't Toriyama redo the ending back in 2004? Oob's last appearance wasn't that long ago.

True, but a lot has changed with Toriyama since '04. He seems done being ambivalent towards Dragon Ball. I put nothing past him now.

That's true. But that was still over 10 years ago. I feel he has little to no attachment to Uub or Bra. Neither were fleshed out enough to be exceptionally memorable, just some drawings he did. This is especially true for Bra. I'm sure if he re-explored any part of EOZ he would have to do something with Uub though, because it IS at the VERY end of the manga so it's hard to forget/ignore. But maybe he just doesn't care for the character really. It's not like he ever intended to go beyond those last few panels in the manga.

Maybe he'd rather do something else in 2015.

Hey guys, sorry to burst your bubble, but this image is fake.

Well, not fake exactly, but from 20 years ago. If you notice the publish date at the bottom, it says 5月23日火. 火 is short for 火曜日 (Tuesday). The 23rd of May this year doesn't fall in Tuesday, but in Saturday.

SO, this is a scan from 1995, when Dragon Ball was originally being published in Shonen Jump, right after Boo was defeated, and right before the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai. Clearly, that "next character" is referring to Uub. The following sentence (under "DRAGON BALL" and next to Toriyama's name) says:

平和を取り戻した地球‼天下一武道会の最中に衝撃的な事件発生‼
Peace returned to Earth!! Shocking incident occurs in the midst of the Tenkaichi Budokai!!

Also, if you look at the right page, you can see the character Shingo Aoi, from Captain Tsubasa World Youth, which was also being published in Shonen Jump in 1995. I don't know about the other characters though.

With a end of DBZ storyline with Uub and Goku, they could have Whis and Beerus take Goku and Uub to different worlds. There's a lot that you can do, but I can see why Toriyama left things open after DBZ. He probably wants the readers get their own idea on what happens next. While I will be rather let down if it takes place after ROF and before the 28th Tenkachi Budokai, I still hope for a good show nevertheless.

This is what I was thinking, that his intention with the EoZ is to allow people to make their own minds up on what came next.
I personally feel that the romance of that shouldn't be compromised, but I totally understand why other fans would want to explore it.

I think if it begins after "F", everyone will be used - especially the humans that still fight. Toriyama has re-established the other Z fighters in "F", and I would have thought he will continue this going into "Super".
Also, if we started at EoZ, we would miss out on further transformations - I refuse to believe, that despite 4 years training, the Saiyans wouldn't achieve a higher level than SSGSS.

It's just my opinion, and I'm sure most people will disagree.

The "final" level of power is only as final as the "final" instalment of the series.

So if they finally stop making Dragon Ball material in like 50 years, then they'll have reached the 'final' form/power-level/state/whatever.

We've had 20 years to imagine what happens next. I'd gladly have Toriyama's take on it now. I'm sure we will still be able to imagine what happens after the end of Super anyway (just as we could imagine what happens after the ambiguous ending of GT).

Well from GT to Video Games to Kai to BoG to "F" to Super. Yup DragonBall has no clue what final means

The "final" level of power is only as final as the "final" instalment of the series.

So if they finally stop making Dragon Ball material in like 50 years, then they'll have reached the 'final' form/power-level/state/whatever.

I am again wondering if we're ever gonna reach that point where they have trouble containing all the power. I'm sure sooner or later the series will have Goku go way of Heisei Godzilla, growing so powerful he hits critical mass. Maybe Alphamon's fate would work too, Goku is so powerful that he cannot exist in normal space. Then again I'm just rambling about possibilities that may never come about...still excited for super though.

The thrill of watching Dragon Ball is back again!

But I do agree that setting the show after EOZ would create much more tension and leave the door open to more stories and characters to be introduced.
