I'm also hoping that the lack of Horikawa means there's still something to reveal about Vegeta.

With Vegeta taking down a main villain,he's going to want to talk about it cause it'll be a huge moment for his character so we probably won't get anything from him till the movie's public premier.

It's just a silly little promotional thing. Everyone is actively breaking the fourth wall and talking about the movie itself.

I wouldn't say it's obvious Vegeta will be the one to defeat him. Anything can happen, again there has been no confirmation that Vegeta is the hero of this movie, it's just speculation that has gained a lot of strength since the recent trailer.

Vegeta should have an unbelievably epic battle with Freeza to reclaim his pride and have his moment of true glory, then right before he can deliver the finishing blow after a grueling and willful fight, Future Trunks appears from thin air, slices Freeza in half again, and teleports back to the future while going trololol. In his rage at having his moment stolen from his yet again, Vegeta ascends to the legendary SUPER SAIYAN DEVIL form thus setting up the events of the next movie.

Hey, I know this is related to Dragon Ball Heroes, but... Man, I need answers! Into what Kakarot transformed? What was that!? Is it really... MYSTIC/ULTIMATE KAKAROT!?

I wouldn't say it's obvious Vegeta will be the one to defeat him.

These are the reason to why it's obvious he'll at least defeat him :

1- Toriyama said he wanted Vegeta to be the hero.
2- He's the main character alongside Goku on the movie's poster.
3- Freeza is the villain who was already defeated by Goku and has a lot of history with Vegeta.
4- Vegeta is training with Whis which means he probably has Ssjg.
5- Freeza defeats Goku.
6- Beerus&Whis are just watching so I doubt they'll fight.
7- They announced that Goku&Vegeta will be the 2 who fight Freeza so with Goku going first and losing that only leaves Vegeta.

None of this confirms that it won't end up being Goku who beats Freeza, or even a team effort. Toriyama did say he was interested in making Vegeta the hero for once, but Toriyama also said he was interested in a Mr. Satan/Mr. Buu spinoff. And just because Goku was beaten up doesn't mean he was finished, for all we know this movie can pull a Broly on us and have Vegeta sacrifice his energy to Goku so that he can pull off one last punch to defeat Freeza.

Is it an awful idea? Yes. Do we know for a fact that it won't happen? Nope.

The difference is that what he said about Buu was a joke while what he said about Vegeta has been hinted at since the movie's announcement.

That's what would happen if Toie was in charge but thankfully Toriyama is and he's no stranger to thinking outside the box.

I know you're a Vegeta fan and all but I recommend lowering your expectations because if you end up going to the movie, and Vegeta is not the main star at all, you'll hate the movie even if it turns out to be good.
