If it's 8-player, there's a strong possibility GT will be added (to keep the roster high). But I also think battle damage will get axed unfortunately to compensate for hardware capabilities. Character Creation coming back is an unknown unknown though.

Well, we can at least rest assured that no mini-cutscene-type attacks will happen... at least probably not. Games that are more than 1-on-1 tend to stray away from game freezing events... especially with eight characters on the screen. Spike loves camera changes and game freezing events, yet they were used very, very sparingly in Tag VS. and Zenkai Battle Royale, so hopefully that will trend will continue. For once I'd like a completely real time Dragon Ball fighting game.

8 vs. 8 sounds pretty epic as long we don't have serious frame rate issues. I admit that the game sounds cool and it will be the closest thing to a remake of DBZ Legends. I do want to see gameplay video footage before I can make any judgment.

The fact that many characters can appear at the same time now is an opportunity for Super Saiyan God to be more than your regular transformation, with the actual six characters showing up together for the ritual.

It is also possible - if we go that way and consider that selecting Super Saiyan God requires to loads models for the ritual scene instead of additionnal warriors on the field -, that Super Saiyan God will fight on his own while borrowing stats to everyone (essentially having the health gauges of a whole team for example, along with enough stength to fight a whole team all by himself): Super Saiyan God would essentially be a team in himself.

Don't get your hopes up. As cool as an HD SSJ4 would be, I don't think we'll be getting one.

Tenkaichi has been done to death. This looks like something I might actually buy for once. I've been stuck with RB2 for the longest damn time. This looks great so far.

well that or budokai... not a 4v4 players it would be fun yeah but the main thing is 1v1 which is more important imo.

People, we've had 5 Budokai-styled games (if you count IW and BL), and 6 Tenkaichi/Sparking-styled games (BT 1-3, RB 1 &2, UT)... it's time to try some new things. I am cautiously optimistic about Battle of Z here, and look forward to seeing the upcoming news.

Two for Two! I just want to go on record and say that I called the whole Vita thing with my thread from forever ago.

In all seriousness though, Namco-Bandai if you do cross gaming fights between the PS3 and Vita instead of just having a Vita port I will buy both versions. I will say that from the description on the front page, I'm kind of excited to see how this will work. Specifically if I can play the story mode co-op with my girlfriend. I know it's there but I hope the co-op is for more than just VS. mode.

Do to similarities with Zenkai and with ZEQ2lite have a SIMILAR feel as Zenkai. I can infer I'll like this game

i'm afraid that if there's no 1v1 mod...


that there will be glitches (as always) to ruin the game like game freeze and disconnect glitch and rank hack for ultimate tenkaichi so a 1 who glitches will ruin the game for 7 players......
