Few things to say.
About the Bo7 dvd. I just tape the series every saturday. Problem solved. I could just watch the Japanese version on the internet somewhere. I only want to see the openings.
Also...hehehe...
super banning mode...
I just want FUNi to dub the recent Jpn DVD releases and get it over with, but that is a lost cause most likely.

I guess my final thought is this: I really wish that Funimation had released fullscreen copies of great footage. That's the end of it.
Also and more importantly. You guys rule. We fought and fought and signed and wrote to get a legit release. Never before have I seen people add so much to this fight. Even though some of us caved in and bought them, we still fight. I am so glad to be part of these forums. Even if some of you can be pains in the ass.

Jerry Spingers final thought: let's not fight anymore.

I stuck my set in my closet the other day. I'm not sure what to do with it... I've remedied not watching it by getting back into Metal Gear Solid and Mega Man. Good times to be had.
Also, the set really looks out of place amongst the individual releases. It's just so fricken orange...

Don't worry, the rest of the season sets are actually being consistent with the packaging, we'll have one big orange tango in the end.

Come up with a good way to destroy it, then record yourself destroying it and upload it to youtube. The (unintentionally) hillarious comments of the DBZ fanboys will bring you more entertainment then watching the box set.

I've been occasionally checking in with that DBZREDO petition, and I've noticed that within the last few days it has jumped by over 150 signatures to around 400+ total...
Seems pretty suspicious, but I'm not complaining.

That's very suspicious, and most of the recent comments look like they were written by the same 8 year old.

Aye, it does, and I should note that it is now at 903 "signatures."
But I wonder if it will ever be taken seriously by FUNimation, seeing as how the majority of the comments are ill-composed, generic "widscreen sux WE WANT FUUULLLLLSSSSCREEENNN"-esque pieces of shit which are now most obviously written by the same fucking moron with way too much time on his hands.
Sure there are some genuine comments in there, but I think this loser is doing the cause much more harm than good. Unless, of course, FUNi only looks at the number and not bother with actually reading the comments...

Thats nice but this thread was finally dying and you decided to post some useless comments that we were already aware of.

Oh no, I did just bump a thread, didn't I? Not like there's much else interesting to discuss on this board.

Um... What? If you're referring to the fact that I responded to a dead thread. Yes I know. How else does one learn if they're not old? Plus wouldn't that make you a nigger too?

Vejita was referring to a troll that occasionally posts every now and then, and who sad a rather retarded comment about a pot calling a kettle black... or something that made little to no sense.

What I find funny is that this issue isn't allowed to be discussed on AOD because there ia apparently 'nothing new to discuss', yet FUNimation refuse to even give us an actual no, nor give any choices, so there is nothing to discuss, and the issue cannot be mentioned ANYWHERE ELSE but DBZ threads it seems, which would all be about an issue we dont have any more info on because no one can speak about it, so it gets locked.
Atleast, thats what I see anyway. It's fairly ridiculous.
PS BrollyKin, I know this is going to sound bad and all but can you stop backseat moderating? maybe Ill stop backseat backseat moderating then.

FUNi really does need to say something about this release.
I don't understand how they could butcher the series as such, and then call it the best damn thing to happen to series.
If they really continue with these sets, then we're all fucked.
Not cool...

Man, I guess I'm the only one who wants them to stick with this.
After a long wait, I've finnaly imported them (And had to buy a Region 0 DVD played while waiting).
I find it looks gorgeous on my 26" HDTV, crystal clear, and I'm loving the FUNi voices with original BGM's.
I just want them to go through with it, and not pull an " Ultimate Uncut " on us.

I borrowed the season set DVD from a friend. Overall, I agree in that it's a sub-par product. It's ok, but it honestly should be better (Especially after all the hype FUNi threw out the window). I'm thinking about buying the Dragon Ball R2 singles (Since I've never seen the show myself) and it'd be awesome to buy an import.
