Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360/PC) Official Th
I completed Gokû's route the other day. Bittersweet because for me it means I'm essentially done. I'll probably play on and off for a little while longer, but this is pretty much it for Xenoverse for me.

Becoming level 93 to get Elder Kaioshin's training is so boooring
,I'm still at level 89,they should just put it at least at level 90 or something.

Just wait until the EXP bonus comes out then just alternate between the two Great Ape missions. It's boring as fuck yeah but if you spread it out, it's not that bad. I managed to finish it not too long ago using that method and it worked well. Also, use the DBs to wish yourself from 92 to 93SSJ3 Vegeta wrote:Becoming level 93 to get Elder Kaioshin's training is so boooring,I'm still at level 89,they should just put it at least at level 90 or something.

It's better to save that wish to get from 98-99. Since it can only be used once altogether no matter how many alts you have. Also, I noted it before, but if you had 8 lv85 characters, to get them all to 99, you'd need to do "Return of the Giant Ape Fest" around 2000 times. And that's if you get S-Z ranked every time. Consider the time. Say on average it takes 3min to do it each time, that means it's 6000min or 100hrs total to get all your characters up to lv99. All doing nothing but fighting Oozaru. Over. And Over. And Over. And Over. And Over. And Over. And Over. And Over. And Over...Dbzfan94 wrote:Just wait until the EXP bonus comes out then just alternate between the two Great Ape missions. Got my male Saiyan to lvl 99 a few weeks ago, and have been playing online battles as often as I can. I'm very happy with how he turned out. Health: 70, Ki: 0, Stamina: 30, Basic Attack: 100, Strike Supers: 0, Ki Blast Supers: 100. Currently working on a male Earthling with a swordsman theme.

Man, that's why my goal was essentially to get one character to 99. I create my own stories for the game anyway, so I'll still be able to play after quite some time. But they really dropped to ball with the later content. And honestly, I don't see why they couldn't just keep adding parallel quest as events or something. To stop after 3 DLCs felt a little premature, but maybe they don't have the money to constantly support the game. They definitely had opportunities to extend the game play.Zelvin wrote:It's better to save that wish to get from 98-99. Since it can only be used once altogether no matter how many alts you have. Honestly, I can't play this game. My character is at 49, weak as can be. I'm up to the fight with No. 17 and 18 in Future Trunks' timeline and just cannot win. The side missions are also hard. I just don't get it. I have one super attack which is weak as hell and no matter which moves I equip him with, he just sucks.
The problem is that my strikes barely hurt anybody, my ki attacks are laughable, and the fights are ridiculous. It's just a giant mess. I charge in, some unknown stuff happens, and I end up being sent flying back.
I don't play this game a lot, I'm not looking to sit her for hours on end grinding it out. It's frustrating and hella annoying. I just want to fling the disc out the window.
With that being said, are there any fighting strategies for this game? Because I'm seriously contemplating eating my $65 and never playing this thing again.
I'm a Saiyan, by the way.

I'd invest in some of Vegeta's ki attacks if you can; big bang attack and final flash really helped me out during the game. *Also used a saiyan avatar in XV.*

The only Vegeta ki attack that I have access to is the Galick Gun. Righ now I have the Kamehameha, Gallic Gun, Elite Beam (I got to train with Jaco...), and Energy Charge. My "Ultimate Attack" is the Full Power Energy Blast Volley. That's the only option it gives me. My attributes are Max Health 28, Max Ki 11, Max Stamina 11, Basic Attacks 27, Strike Supers 20, and Ki Blast Supers 26. Obviously I put all my focus into attacks and health and my attacks are still pitiful against enemies.

You really need to unlock better Supers. Complete someone's training, buy the few that are available from the shop, or do parallel quests. You've advanced your level a lot but your moves are way behind where they should be.TheGreatness25 wrote:The only Vegeta ki attack that I have access to is the Galick Gun. If you complete Vegeta's training, you'll get Final Flash. You can get Nappa's Giant Storm Ultimate from parallel quests, that's really handy.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

That's the thing, I can't seem to complete anybody's training fully.
Extra question: Does this affect the other characters in the game? I feel like when I'm doing a side quest, Super Saiyan Vegeta has like 3 bars of health while I have one as Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta and I end up losing! I'm talking about the rivals parallel quest where you g up against all forms og Goku and Vegeta.
I swear, I can't enjoy the game on any level.

That parallel quest is really high level. You shouldn't be doing that if you're low level. You shouldn't be doing that one if you're below level 90, actually.

But I used SSGSS Vegeta, SSGSS Goku, and Golden Freeza. What, all the other characters depend on my characters level? That's silly. I can't just play as a regular character with their own attributes?
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360/PC) Official Th
Nope. Their stats go up as your character's level increases. You can still gain EXP for your CaC if you play as the other characters, though.TheGreatness25 wrote:But I used SSGSS Vegeta, SSGSS Goku, and Golden Freeza. Maybe I'm just not dedicated enough for this game. I just wanted to enjoy the story without grinding through hours of boring random battles.

So yeah funny thing about Full Power Energy Blast Barrage...if you use it after sending your opponent flying from a combo or something (I don't think skills count) all the blasts will actually home in on your opponent. Tried it, it works, and it deals a hefty amount of damage.

I noticed that yesterday when I played. I was wondering why so many people were now using it.BlazingBarrrager wrote:So yeah funny thing about Full Power Energy Blast Barrage...if you use it after sending your opponent flying from a combo or something (I don't think skills count) all the blasts will actually home in on your opponent. Do lower level PQs to build your master bar fast. It's grindy but this whole game is grindy so you gotta do it. Also I suggest summoning Shenron and fixing your stat points. The reason you're weak is that you shouldn't be mixed/equal. Focus on a few skillsTheGreatness25 wrote:That's the thing, I can't seem to complete anybody's training fully.

I'm just going to put it down for good. All it does is frustrate me. Screw that. Add another DB thing to my graveyard.

Sorry you didn't enjoy it. I've had a blast with it, for all its flaws, and I'm not really a hardcore/dedicated kind of player at all.
