I believe it, which means when FUNimation gets to dub it, their dub and the Japanese track on their's will be like the Cantonese/Latin American/Korean dubs then.

Of course I don't know all the details, but I'm getting really irritated at all the problems going on with Japanese music licensing lately. You think these music labels would want more exposure, but it seems they're being increasingly stingy with rights lately.

I believe it, which means when FUNimation gets to dub it, their dub and the Japanese track on their's will be like the Cantonese/Latin American/Korean dubs then.

Either way, my money's been charged and my bluray is on the way. Aside from the lack of any supplemental material, I have no complaints.

Shoulda preordered "Unbeatable" as well. I saw this Hong Kong MMA flick at the Toronto Filmfest last September and it was by far one of the best movies I've seen coming out this year. Off topic here but I just finished watching the cantonese dub of Shingeki no kyojin today and this show is pretty epic. Dub was pretty decent too. 2nd episode airs tomorrow on J2.

Just left Pacific Mall right now and saw that the region 3 dvd is in stock today. Disappointed in the specs!. Single layer dvd5 disc. No dolby 5.1 tracks. Both Japanese and Cantonese dubs are in plain old dolby stereo. Guess I'll keep waiting for my bluray in the mail.

EDIT: Downloaded a bluray rip of the Hong Kong disc. Listening to the Cantonese dub. Disappointed. Seems like none of the TVB voice actors reprise their roles. King Kai sounds horrible! Dub script is fine and faithful to the original so that's a relief. But the voice actors...terrible job! Whis and Birusu dub voices sound fine.

I decided to go back and re-watch battle of gods again and it got me thinking. Do you guys think we'll ever find out who the original Super Saiyan God was on planet Vegeta? not that it really needs to be shown but just curious...

I highly doubt it. We never saw the original Super Saiyan so I guess they won't show the original SSJG. Though I would't be shocked if we get more backstory if BoG gets a sequel.

Are we certain that BoG will get a sequel? Was it hinted or confirmed somewhere? I mean just because Birsu is waking up in 3 years and we learned about 12 universes(11 not counting number 7) but does that really generate a sequel? Did someone say "expect more in the future"?

Also any news of Korean dvds-bluerays? Are they already release or not?

Dragon Ball isn't the best series for filling in gaps like that. Heck, we don't even know of parents for most the characters, including Goku.

I don't want a Battle of Gods sequel, I'd prefer another original story rather than seing Bills again and the other Gods of Destruction.

We did learn who the original Super Saiyan was. It was Bardock.

As for what's coming next, Chozenhuu 1 stated that there are still more stories about enemies arriving on Earth that haven't been told yet, and Chozenshuu 2 had a timeline of the anime that began from the original Dragon Ball anime in 1986 up to Battle of Gods in 2013, and after that, it wrote with big letters "AND MORE?!". So, add the hints from Battle of Gods in the mix, and we will get more new stories in anime form, be it specials, movies, or even a series. Anything is possible.

Not to scare you with that thought, but to me the "we'll be back in 3 years" kind of message when Whis says that Birus will sleep for three years from now, is actually a real-time double entendre directly headed to the viewer too: "next movie in three years from now, with Birus having a role in it".

A movie set 3 years later in-universe might also force Goten and Trunks to have more grown up designs, because we'll start to get dangerously close to the epilogue era where the're shown to be fully teenager-grown. Then a Toriyama-drawn teenager Gotenks would likely make an appearance.

Also, since it's a legend of a Super Strong warrior who appears every thousand years or something like this, it's implied there were several warriors who had become Super Saiyan before Goku, not only a single original Super Saiyan one.

This. My friend keeps telling me that he was glad that Bardock was the first Super Saiyan and it starts getting annoying after a while. As much as I love the Special/OVA? of Episode of Bardock, I kinda look at it as a ''What If'' story. I don't think it's cannon...is it?

I love the ending when Bulma and Goku are teasing Vegeta for what he said and done. Vegeta just stubs up.

BOG did pretty well at the box office. It's up to Toei if they want to do another movie or not. As long if AT comes back, I'm okay with it. If they don't then get ready for another rehash story.

Ehh...I wouldent mind a movie showing more of Future Trunks's past. Show Goku's fight with Freeza and Cold, the Z Senshi's fights and deaths at the hands of 17 and 18, could make for a good movie or special at least.
