I don't want XV2 to be out until early 2017. However I won't mind a compete edition of XV with all of the DLC and all of the characters unlock on the disc. Most games seem to do that these days.

The Japanese do Year/Day/Month when it comes to dates right? Otherwise it means whatever was going to happen on that date happened over a week ago.BlazingBarrrager wrote:Whoever does the translating, you're needed here stat!

No, Japan does Year/Month/Day, so yeah it's over already. It looks like someone named Retort was just live streaming the game on NicoNico. Looking through his channel and social stuff, he seems to be pretty popular.KentalSSJ6 wrote:The Japanese do Year/Day/Month when it comes to dates right? Retort is also going to be one of many guests on a Dragon Ball-centric stream on Bandai Namco's channel next week (the 24th). V Jump editor Uchida will be there as well, and they're teasing some kind of new info. I don't know what these Bamco streams are usually like, but considering how many games they're covering, I wouldn't get my hopes up too much for a major announcement or anything.

So basically, a Game Of The Year edition for Xenoverse? I'd dig that.Hellspawn28 wrote:I don't want XV2 to be out until early 2017. However I won't mind a compete edition of XV with all of the DLC and all of the characters unlock on the disc. Most games seem to do that these days.

The only way I will rebuy and replay Xenoverse on the PS4 if they do a special edition of the game that has everything compete. Getting all of the Dragon Balls was a total chore for me to do and I don't want to go through that again.

The RNG was truly unforgiving in the game. Especially with Dragon Balls.Hellspawn28 wrote:The only way I will rebuy and replay Xenoverse on the PS4 if they do a special edition of the game that has everything compete. V-Jump are going to have a big DB announcement in the next issue so it'll probably be that.Hellspawn28 wrote:I don't want XV2 to be out until early 2017. Naruto storm 4 was announced in December and will be releasing in February so XV2 could have to same date for 2017 as well.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

This is the sole reason I haven't bought the game yet. I do hope they release one next year.Hellspawn28 wrote:I don't want XV2 to be out until early 2017. December 19; same day as Jump Festa.
To me, it doesn't really feel like a "significant Dragon Ball announcement" in conjunction with Jump Festa would be for a game, but it could be. As has been mentioned before, a lot of announcements either drop out of the blue or are severely overhyped in Japan, so it could really be just about anything. Super's announcement literally popped up out of nowhere, but when we were promised a big announcement, it ended up being "Goku Day"...

Apparently there is now a ''50% experience and zeni bonus'' event going on. So I guess anyone who has to lvl their character to 99 now might be the best time to do it.

So I finally said fuck it and changed my master. I'm only level 86 and the game expects me to be level 93 to train with Elder Kai. That is ridiculous and it takes so long, all for a power up that I don't even understand. It ups your stats, but I don't know what stats. So now I'm training under Android 18 and I don't care. If grinding wasn't such a pain, I'd still be with Elder Kai, but even with this 50% bonus XP, grinding in this game is still the most tedious thing ever in a video game.

You think that's bad, you should have played DBO. Leveling from 47 to 55 was the biggest pain in that game period. You either spammed TMQ4 or just grind mobs for hours on end due to the quests hardly giving you EXP as a reward. Going from 60 to 70 was also fairly tedious.ShadowDude112 wrote:So I finally said fuck it and changed my master. I'm only level 86 and the game expects me to be level 93 to train with Elder Kai. Yeah, but that game was never officially released in English, and this game is just awful with it. It's saying "Hey, to beat this thing you started, you need to play this game for like 2 days non stop to be level 93." I don't know if it would actually take 2 days, but it's super ridiculous. It doesn't help that even using Great Ape Festival only kind of makes it go down by a lot. But not by as much as I wish it would.BlazingBarrrager wrote:You think that's bad, you should have played DBO. Leveling from 47 to 55 was the biggest pain in that game period. And the 50% bonus experience and zeni event is already over.

If it's XV2, I will goddamn STOKED. In my opinion... but Xenoverse is actually, like... almost perfect. Sparking! METEOR/BT3 used to be my favorite, but after playing this, going back to that game just feels like a step back. It really aged poorly. With XV, RNG's and customization limitations are really the only things that irk me too much. I got my friend to pick up the game and I've been having a blast going through PQ's and trying to unlock everything. And, as a bonus, it would be nice to have it made for this generation (e.g. not bothering to release it on PS3/360) and give us a nice graphical boost. Xenoverse sold quite well, so hopefully that's enough incentive to go crazy and expand it a lot.sintzu wrote:V-Jump are going to have a big DB announcement in the next issue so it'll probably be that.

I agree. Xenoverse, despite lacking in some areas, is probably one of the best DBZ video game experiences we've had, imo. If they were to expand on the idea and fix some things in the sequel, we'd have ourselves one hell of a game. I just hope they expand on the character customization. That was one of my main gripes. Not enough customize options.

Again, DBO was worse, and you could play the Taiwan version easily so don't give the "not released in English" excuse.ShadowDude112 wrote:Yeah, but that game was never officially released in English, and this game is just awful with it. Couldn't agree more. If we had a lot more options for hairstyles, eyes, jaws, ears, etc., in addition to being able to change the colors of all clothing, that would satisfy me.Big Momma wrote:I just hope they expand on the character customization.
