That's the point!
A movie each year is not a good idea, because it could be bad quality wise. But a new one each 2 years is.
As long Toriyama is motivated and this sells, they have my approval.

A movie per year? Oh boy, we really should expect a New 52 type of retcon soon.

Like I said before, you guys are digging way too much into that sentence. Sure, if the movie does really well and is a success we'll probably get more films. But his statement isn't meant to be a confirmation of anything. It's just a general "Go support the movie!" statement that gets thrown around beforehand.

When Toriyama makes something as atrocious as the Buu Saga, then DB is at least creatively in trouble. For now (minus well... Minus) its been going pretty strong with BoG on the movie side and XV & DBO on the game one.

Buu was the closest thing to classic Dragonball that DBZ ever got until BoG.

This is the kind of shenanigans I missed from Dragonball, hence why I love Battle of Gods so much.

The older AT gets the worse his plotholes get. He is getting rid of SSG form and instead giving Goku and Vegeta(if Vegeta new "transformation" makes him look like) Mystic form that belonged to Gohan(hence why he goes SS in this movie).

Translation: Akira Toriyama created Freeza with the intention of him being more like Ayres' portrayal of the character. In other words, the aristocratic and sophisticated tone is how Freeza is meant to be portrayed (sadism included).

Linda Young's Freeza is not at all like this. That doesn't mean anyone is wrong to like her more, but she is not what Toriyama envisioned when he made this character. Plain and simple. >.>

One thing I always thought when they first mentioned 12 universes and each has its own God of Destruction, was the 12 Zodiac beasts. It would almost make too much sense. Beerus is supposed to be a cat, but does look something like a rat. Could very well be the stand-in for the Tiger. Or maybe he really is the Cat who was supposed to be left out of the Zodiac and is meant to be replaced by Goku, who is a Saiyan "Monkey".

Not only is that almost certainly not what's happening, that wouldn't be a plothole if they explained it well, and having not seen the movie you can't know the explanation yet.

With a little over two weeks remaining until the Premiere, I'm so excited!. I loved BoG, and Freeza returning is pure genius, I know it's more than likely for the benefit of Vegeta - only rumoured of course.
I am delighted that Toriyama Sensei seems to have rekindled his love for Dragon Ball once more, and this can only be a good thing - yes he does forget a lot of details, but I'm sure Toei are able to remind him.

I do believe Goku will have a big payoff in this movie, as to what, I'm not sure. One thing that is for sure is that there's going to be a lot of talking points in here in two week's time.
If Julian can get himself a ticket, I hope he enjoys the movie, and I look forward to him sharing some details of whatever he is able to remember.

I think it's awesome to see Roshi back fighting with the Z warriors - Tien and Yamcha deserve a win too.

That's fine. What's wrong is calling Linda Youngs take accurate to Freeza's character. That is the problem people are having. We don't care if you like her more. We do care though if that performances is called accurate for the character of Freeza. That's factually the truth. I've already stated I like character voices like Kaio/King Kai which do not portray the character correctly. I admit Sean does not portray Kaio/King Kai like he should be portrayed. I like Kyle Hebert as the narrator even though in Z his tone was misused as some Monster Truck Jam voice.

Problem is you can't admit to liking something that is flat out wrong when it comes to character. I can admit to liking something that incorrectly portrays a character. Why can't you? I could make a whole new thread for this topic where numerous people can post why Linda Youngs portrayal of the character was completely unfitting for the role, and you'd probably still say it's completely accurate. We're arguing character accuracy, not just who's voice is more appealing.

You keep dodging the point. Ayres is more accurate to Toriyama's vision of Freeza. That's the point you seem to deny. You can say you like Linda more, but you can't say she fits Freeza's character better when that's factually wrong. Hiding behind the opinion excuse doesn't work when the opinion goes against facts. The fact isn't who's voice is more appealing, but who fits the character properly. Linda factually does not fit the character. She can be your preferred voice, but it's straight up bullshit to say she portrays Freeza's character better than Ayres,

Not only is that almost certainly not what's happening, that wouldn't be a plothole if they explained it well, and having not seen the movie you can't know the explanation yet.
