I doubt it because in the preview when Goku is down I think that is when Kaioken runs out and Goku is obviously then finished.

I know it's a Goku thing to do this, but what bugs me is he never changes at all. By pulling stunts like this in F, Freeza almost killed everyone. Now he's pulling this shit again. A nice character arc for Goku which was set up in F (Before it was stupidly shot down), would be dealing with his habbits, and how they can effect everyone. If Goku and Vegeta changed more and were on growing character arcs, I'd have less reason to complain about the "Goku and Vegeta Show". It would keep the two of them interesting. Instead it's the new characters who get that, while Goku and Vegeta's job is simply to interact and bounce off them. It makes for duller main characters. I'd be less burnt out on these two if they would grow up more, while keeping the core of who they are.
I think killing Freeza stops him from doing this in the future when other people's lives are at stake, like humanity's. However, because its just Goku here and because the Dragon Balls exist, I don't think its a problem to do it here.
I don't. At the end of the movie the laugh off what would have pretty much saved everyone, and made Freeza a non-issue. So they didn't learn a thing.

I have big problems with the movie anyway, since I feel Goku learned not to do that when urging Gohan to kill Cell and when he himself killed Buu. To me, I think there's a difference after that when Goku doesn't mind facing death for a good fight.

There isn't a difference. He's once again self indulging without any sort of change. He already admitted to learning nothing, so I doubt he suddenly went "I change my mind on what I said." Also in the Boo saga he went back to doing it again anyways as instead of ending a threat before they pull something unexpected, he doesn't finish off Boo and let's his rampage continue for his own agenda. Goku doesn't really grow much no more, which is why he bores me. He's the main character, and he doesn't change or grow. He's stuck in a metaphorical time loop, unlike GT's physical time loop.

Anything can happen next episode :o

At least I think Goku won't die, since Piccolo goes to pick him up.

Eh I disagree, I think Goku killing Buu in the end was indicative of him being able to curb that indulgence somewhat since Buu was so sporadic and violent. At least to me, the situation here with Hit is different since other people aren't in danger.

If that happens I thimk Piccolo will literally throw Goku over to Krillin so he smacks the floor because he says Goku is an idiot and eventually Krillin gives Goku a senzu bean.

I hope Piccolo is complaining about something else because why would something like that be on the pink preview card.

I think he was pretty much left with no other options since everyone else was dead. He never really regrets his decisions either. I just see this as yet another self indulgence for the pile.

To me Piccolo is more likely to do that than Vegeta as he hates it when other character do stupid things and I am sure he still has that evil side in him. The complaning is more Vegeta but when Piccolo moans it is usually for a good reason and that is why I think there might be more to it because wouldn't Krillin just go straight to Goku and give him a senzu bean.

So picking Goku up is auto-lose for Goku? Remember end of dragon ball where Goku couldnt move at the end of the fight against Piccolo? Goku won but couldnt move his body anymore.

I just had a thought that the leaked summary for episode 40 does not really line up with what is going to happen. So is it wrong? Or does Goku defeat Hit at the same time as his Kaioken runs out? Is Piccolo the person who lands in the ring? Is the Hit vs Goku fight really short in this episode then?

Well for the record Goku always faced opponents who were actively trying to kill him without himself trying to kill them back ... only to defeat/incapacitate them ...Taopaipai, Piccolo Jr, Nappa, Vegeta, Recoome, Burter, Jeice, Ginyu, Freeza (twice).

People are just tired of Goku and Vegeta. They need someone other than them to have an important fight.I mean Piccolo was told to fuck off,Boo was kicked out,if Goku will win against Hit,then the U6 team is all defeated by Goku and Vegeta. They could have Monana, but once he was revealed to be an amateur, almost all hope was gone.

I think Trunks will come back with the time patrol because of Hit using that time technique which is against the law.

I can understand the disappointment with Monaka and Boo, as well as the annoyance of Goku and Vegeta getting all of the rest of the fights (Vegeta gets most of them, but Goku gets the final one, so it kind of evens out there), but Piccolo's fight, while not meaning much in the end (other than revealing the 'secret' there), was entertaining enough to me to not count as him being told to scram. At least for me.

-Goku dying. Rising the stakes-

As a Hitman, Hit could have a ability that destroys his opponent soul and incapacitates him from ever come back.
Like, take down his target on a complete literal way, erasing x person from existence.

I doubt Goku will die anyway. This is just a idea for a ability that could give us some permanent deaths.

Other idea I had was that Gods shouldn't be able to be revived by Dragon Balls.
That would be the price to pay for such power for characters like Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, Champa...

It's not gonna happen either since Gods were already revived before, especially now with the Super Dragon balls around the corner...
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
