I think it funny it has nappa on it in combat which as far as I know is not with the first 13 episodes I may be wrong there though.SSJMan wrote:I am sorry.TripleRach wrote:From what I can tell, this is a direct copy of the menu file on the disc, and that's not cool. If it's like any other FUNi Blu-rays I've seen (Kai, FMA: Brotherhood, etc), then this menu is the same on every disc.enapace wrote: I think it funny it has nappa on it in combat which as far as I know is not with the first 13 episodes I may be wrong there though.

Media Player Classic Homecinema is a good choice. There is another codec pack that should be used with it, but cannot remember off the top of my head what that codec is...sumpter360 wrote:Quick question. What do I use for taking screenshots of the Blu-ray?

The audio is better compared to...? The orange bricks, DBox, etc?

I believe That is from bug plaint .enapace wrote:

both. But remember "The Japanese audio does sound better because of better compression . But It is still sounds just as muffled. Not worth getting if the only reason was to have better sound in Japanese"AgitoZ wrote:The audio is better compared to...? The orange bricks, DBox, etc?

Okay, forgive me. You're giving people information they want, and that's great and very much appreciated, however...SSJMan wrote:I believe That is from bug plaint .

While it's hard to make out what it says on the back of the case in sumpter360's pics, I think it says as follows:mikezilla2 wrote:what type of encodes are the tracks in 5 .1 ? mono wtc ?
-English (JP score) 5.1 surround
-English (US score) stereo
-Japanese mono
Would anyone care to elaborate?

I doubt that there's only ONE frame with that pose on the footage, otherwise the human eye wouldn't even be able to see it properly.Metalwario64 wrote:For anyone who can't see what I'm talking about in terms of detail discrepancy between the BR's and the DBOX, I made images that show where to look to see the different details:

I refuse to believe Funi doesn't have a 5.1 version of the dub w/ US score lying around; didn't they use it with the Ultimate Uncuts?jpdbzrulz4sure wrote:While it's hard to make out what it says on the back of the case in sumpter360's pics, I think it says as follows:mikezilla2 wrote:what type of encodes are the tracks in 5 .1 ? mono wtc ?

*Blu-Snips*
Comparing the menu opening to these, it seems like they look much better in motion.

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Yeah, but that was ONLY in the "Ultimate Uncut" dub. As far as I know, the dub w/US score of episode 68 onwards have only ever been mixed into stereo, so they use the stereo version of the UUE dub on the OBs and Blu-rays for consistency.BlazingFiddlesticks wrote:I refuse to believe Funi doesn't have a 5.1 version of the dub w/ US score lying around; didn't they use it with the Ultimate Uncuts?

Thanks SSJman for all your hard work today! It's really cool to see all this so far in advance of the actual release date. I've got the Dragon Boxes and I don't plan on buying these releases, but I am curious about them. The screenshots look great, good enough that, if they contained NEPs, I might buy them. Obviously the packaging has nothing on the Dragon Boxes, but I think it's fairly good looking for a FUNi release.
And I'm sorry if this has already been asked - I read the last few pages but I couldn't find it - do the discs use English title cards exclusively?

Yes, only English cards. It would have been nice for them to include the Japaneses titles.DinoChow wrote:Thanks SSJman for all your hard work today!
