Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

Just a minor (but interesting) information is passing through...

Yesterday, in a Greek (Game Reviews) show devoted to the DragonBall Z Games, they also referred to the new DBZ Movie by showing (in the background) the Movie's trailer. But instead of showing the Japanese trailer, they prefered to show the English Fanmade one.

Bog comes to italy with the old "Dynamic" dubbers ( those of first dub of movies..)

I'm very sad only for the vegeta and goku voice changes.. specially our goku was very similiar to original japanese.. but the voice actor (Paolo Torrisi) is dead in 2005..
anyway i'm happy for the new adaptation.. we say bye bye to "Onda energetica" (energetic wave.. the stupid (mediaset) adaptation.. of kamehameha), yamko (yamcha), tensing (tenshinhan), crili (crilin), rif (chaozu), junior (piccolo), oscar (oolong), the wrong chichi prunciation and other stupid errors..

The name I would say is rather definite - if that's what they're calling him in an English release of this game, then it's pretty much gotta be what they'd use for the movie.

It's not quite the same thing, but I recall the US release of Budokai 3 keeping the Ryu-Ken/Dragon Fist as simply "Dragon Fist", while the actual Funi dub of DBZ movie 13 eventually called it "Dragon Fire". But yeah, it's be strange for them to do a switch like that on such a major character's name.

I believe that was a translation error in the script.

On a traditional QWERTY keyboard, S, E, R, and T are all in close proximity to each other. Amazing if that is what happened...

So, remember how this movie had an official website? Well, I doubt anyone's been there in a while, so I decided to see if there was anything new there and sure enough, there's was a news post from the 28th of October I don't recall seeing it on Kanzenshuu, so I thought I'd link it here and see if anyone can help me out with what it's about:

From what I can see, it's about another screening of the film in something called "4DX". And I think the screenings have already happened. Looks like we're all a bit late on this one.

Hard to believe that this time a year ago, we'd only just seen the first trailer and the movie still wouldn't be out for another 3-4 months. I gotta feeling that this is gonna be something really nostalgic in a few years time.

4DX is a motion picture technology owned and developed by South Korean company CJ 4DPLEX, a part of the CJ Group. 4DX allows a motion picture presentation to be augmented with environmental effects such as motion, scents, mist and wind, outside the standard video and audio. But if this is true. Then Hell yea my homeland is helping out with Dragonball .

So I'm guessing this is beyond 3d? Or help make the 3d look better?

Gonna miss Paolo Torrisi, probably the best Goku ever, he could pull both the badass and heroic part of Goku, and the naive and innocent side. He was like the perfect combination of Nozawa and Schemmel.

Hopefully the new voices don't sound too drastically different!
But i'm happy we won't get the stupid Mediaset censoring. Hopefully...

Went to a condo theatre room today just to watch the final fight sequence in "BoG" on bluray. It had a projector screen, bluray player and the 5.1 speakers, theatre seating. The works! It's pretty much the closest way to DBZ: BoG on the big screen.

I wouldn't mind watching the full movie again in that projector room. It was sweet!

No. Its real.
Saw it at the toronto fan expo last august. Its poseable but its also really tiny. Hence why I didn't buy it. Its an official product.

6 bucks??? Man feels ripped at buying them for £20 (roughly 32.1US$)
By the look of the ebay listings the new figure's are probably going to be released mid Feb.
