How did Super 17 die again?
Super Dragon Fist.
Which was followed by a Kamehameha(multiple ones depending on how you choose to see it), which was the third one in that fight but would have been the fourth had Goku not realized that he would have just charged 17 up again.

Hm, I hope Bra will be a playable character this time (after all these years, I still have hope!) and if not, I can at least sort of create her in the character creation mode.

I'm one of the very few that gives a shit about this character, but I still want a playable Paragus.

I would be happy with that.
Come on, just because the guys from the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai and the Red Ribbon Army can't fly and shoot ki blasts, we don't get Piccolo Daimaoh. It doesn't make any sense.
Sorry, I can't speak English very well, but I'm trying my best.

Well it's true. The end of DragonBall resembled DBZ more so than the earlier sagas.

In addition with character creation, I think it'd be cool to be able to customize the canon characters.
Sort of like the Butouden game. I liked that a lot.

If not, then I'm happy with creating characters.
I'm with you on this one.
Editing the established characters would be cool

That is if the wardrobe consists of all the costumes Toriyama drew on the manga covers and whatnot.
That would be the best thing.
I always wanted to use those costumes made by Toriyama.

This game is really shaping up to be my most anticipated Dragon Ball game in a while! The awesome energy clashes, the dynamic combos, the environmental destruction, it's like Spike is REALLY trying this time around with the time and money they're given :D

I like what they're doing. It reduces spam a great deal.

In fact, where in the show did Goku fire 4 Kamehameha waves simultaneously? I don't find it true to the show where I can win the fight by doing a wave over and over again to win. With this, you have to actually build up your power, and it gives your opponent a greater chance on avoiding the blast. I like it.

Where in the show did everyone just stand still and watch things happening and use like 17 different camera angles and have 3 different buttons prompts pop up every second n a half?
Looking at it that way is irrelevent. It's a GAME. And they've stood in front of many attacks. Just saying.

So when are they releasing the demo? So we can see if the combat is pure QTE or not?

Didnt Spike say something about dumbing downt the controls because people were complaining that Raging Blast was too complex? I didn't think gameplay in a fighting game could get anymore simpler than that.

Yes they said they changed the gameplay because many complained that the gameplay in RB/Tenkaichi was way to complex and hard.

I can't understand why.

I just saw the new trailer...and it's quite amusing. I don't tell if they're either trying to go the extra mile in detail or just half-assing it enough to give that impression lol.

Here's what i saw:
- Goku with the kanjis on his gi against Vegeta. Looks like they were listening, right?...but the gi is still the one from Android saga and onward, with the bigger v-cut and large belt.
- They recicle the footage from the Boss Battle portion of the same fight, with the wrong gi of course.
- Since they were showing Saiyan arc stuff, Gohan doing a rush super on Nappa......expect it's the exact same on the previous trailer that had him in the "bowl cut + saiyan armor" combo against Freeza.

The above is really the nitpicky, non important stuff (specially since we're getting a character creator and customization tool, i don't care all that much at this point), but here's where it gets annoying:
- It takes FOUR OPEN MOUTH FLAPS to say "O-wa-ri da, Ka-ka-ro-tto!" (It's over, Kakarotto!)....for a SCRIPTED CUTSCENE. Say it yourself in both languages and count how many times your mouth opens and how it's not just "DA. DA. DA. DA." Followed by Vegeta's smirk, as if he didn't just look retarded

I'm quite excited to play it after what i've seen, actually. But i'm not gonna pretend this doesn't bug me right now. (That and the fact that an attempt to be more faithful to the manga involves ignoring the first quarter of it and include GT and the Movies, as much as i actually like them)

By the way, i've seen no mention of the Kikuchi score anywhere since that english scan confirming "Japanese voices and music"....and even that didn't confirm Kikuchi's music......i don't really feel like getting the Japanese version lol. Does anyone know anything regarding music?

With "original" they meant a new and original score for the game itself. Just like with all the other games. Not the true BGM from the series. Although I think everyone interpreted this as the series' score.

Straight out of the english scan:
"STORY MODE!!! Featuring the original japanese voice over and music"

Yup, i guess ya got me there. I have no idea why, given the fact that the japanese version of EVERY Spike Dragon Ball Z game had Kikuchi's music, i would ever assume that that's what they were refering to.

That's quite contradictory, cause Spike themselves say that an original OST was made for the game in an interview.

I think that was just referring to that rather than the Kikuchi score.

The background song in that video is very nice, it sounds so familiar.. like from one of the previous DBZ games. But it's a new song, right?
