Anyhoo... The official English title is "Ressurection F." Snazzy. I like it.

English-subtitled world premiere in L.A. next month, a week before it even hits Japanese theaters. Gnarly. Glad to know we'll have the inside scoop on the plot and stuff so early.

English-dubbed theatrical showings in the summer, presumably followed soon after by a home media release? Bodacious. Reminds me I still really need to pick up Battle of Gods ASAP...

Not saying it should be done, I'm saying it can be done well as long as there's a good explanation for how it's happening or it helps make a more compelling story. Freeza's seems kind of half-assed for now, but if his return gives good character & story possibilities, the how is gonna seem less important, at least for me that is.

The logic can be 100% be flawless, and I'd still not like it. Freeza I feel already served his purpose. I like Freeza, but I think he shouldn't have returned.

I'm sure this is a one time only deal. This idea of bringing back a villain like this only works if it's Frieza. They're not about to bring back Cell or the others.

I think it's pretty interesting myself they never really bring back main villains to relevance again once that have been dealt with in manga.

Freeza has been brought back 5 times. Cell has been brought back 3 times. Tao has been brought back twice. Piccolo had been brought back twice and became a mainstay. Kid Boo is brought back as Oob. A bunch of people were brought back in Fusion Reborn and Super 17 arc in GT. Broly has been back 3 times. Cooler has been brought back 3 times. This is not some special unseen event.

This is going to be huge, absolutely huge! And we're not just talking about English-speaking territories. I'm talking about on a global scale, considering the release dates we've seen for places such as South America.

The theatrical screenings of Battle of Gods last year were an absolutely massive deal- and that was a year after the movie came out initially. Now, pretty much everyone will be seeing the film (almost) simultaneously. April on Kanzenshuu is gonna be crazy. This'll be the first time since, well, Dragon Ball Evolution that everyone will be able to jump in on something at the same time, regardless of what sort of fan you are (video game fan, Manga fan, etc.). No need for YouTubers creating false reviews for the purposes of gaining a few views in a couple of months. No need for the Kanzenshuu staff to dedicate obscene amounts of time and lose sleep over an outrageously detailed summary of the film. No need for a lot of fans to drop $100+ on a special edition Japanese box set (although many still will). This is an event that so many DB fans, no matter where you're from, can join in on and that's...really awesome. How fitting that this is all centered around Freeza, such an iconic character for the franchise. Looking forward to seeing the box office figures for this movie...it's been a long time coming. How about a super massive Kanzenshuu pdcast on opening weekend with tons and tons of guests to celebrate and reminisce about Freeza's character and his significance within in the franchise, on both an in and out of universe perspective? ...And also talk about the film, of course...

On a slightly calmer note, I agree on the "Resurrection F" name. Sounds very cool and catchy. I like it.

Ahh yes, a handful of screenings they said, turned out to be two, in Scotland and Leeds If Manga do get it, I hope it gets a proper theatrical release not some arthouse theatre, though that'd be better then what we got for BoG I suppose, sigh.

Freeza is by far the most iconic villain of the series. Also most of that stuff you mentioned didn't really happen. Besides that, Freeza returned only to be humiliated.
