:( awwww, I was just trying to be optimistic. I was 90% sure it would never happen, but it was a nice thought anyway.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

godofchaos went into extreme detail explaining how each and every thing you suggested is either wrong or unfeasible. I don't need to say anything else.
SSVegetto wrote:I don't know why you choose to pick on me and threaten me at the same time. You don't know me personally. And I just find that incredibly insulting. What exactly am I out of line about?
You have been singled out because you were the single person that I had not already responded to that came in with an entitlement attitude of astronomical proportions, playing the victim, and lashing out at other members.

That's not to say that other people aren't walking a fine line, either, but your overall attitude was and is simply unacceptable.
SSVegetto wrote:I barely spend time on this forum anyways. I practically done stating my opinion about this stuff anyways starting on page 8. DBZ isn't my life.
Oh, please. Don't back-peddle onto the "I have a life outside this, so WTF?" playing card. If that's how you want to act, then maybe your limited time here is exactly what you need.

It's ok Mike, godofchaos was right with his comment. It is quite a stretch to expect Funimation to re-dub the series for the Dragonbox. I'd image some(if not all of the actors) are tired and want to move on.

Though I do like the how this thread is being heavily watched and controlled I'd hate to see this one get locked like the other one.

Exactly what are you talking about, his post came way after my last post. I was away for like 3 hours and I just got here to read your post, and I didnt even get to his post yet.

I'm being very careful not to flame anyone or hate on anyone. My main concern is against Funimation. I'm very angry with them. If I were to actually lash out at someone, I would flame them. There is no anger or malice in my posts thus far, only towards Funimation themselves maybe. It's not anybodys fault but that. Yes, I do get tense when some people try to state their opinion as a fact. I do go in and say wait, are you sure about that. But that is all, I simply try to correct or reason with people. But never did I flame someone.

When did I ever lash out at the members? I just simply challenge them that is all. I don't get it. I never lash out at members. Yes, I have a bad attitude towards Funimation. For the astronomical proportions part, I guess I'm just weird or the odd person that my opinion goes way over board. I don't know. Perhaps that's why I don't have many friends in real life.

I'm not a victim of anything anyways. I just thought we all challenged each other in this thread, but it turns out me I was the person out of line, I saw other people challenging and stuff, but I was chosen. I just don't get it. That is a sign for me, a scar, that I cant get along with people even though I try. Again, I know that sounds like I'm playing the victim. But again, what can I tell you, it just bothers me personally. I didn't try to act this way on purpose to be mean to people, but some how people see it as this. I'm just confused.

No, I'm just stating, I was practically done at top of page 8 of stating what I thought about this anyways, just so you know. I'm not implying that I do or do not have a life. I'm just saying, I enjoy dbz , but it's not my life, and whats done is done and I cant change Funimation. I do it for myself. I love your forums, I'm not kissing your ass or anything. But I got addicted to your forums about 3 to 4 weeks back( I clicked on the page every 3 hours practically). So I controlled myself not go back here for a while. Then I checked at the amazon forum for any news or updates on dragonbox, and I heard the twitter announcement. So I headed here to state what I thought about all of this.

Kinda late on this... Wow, I really can't wait for this! I guess I'm kinda weird, I like the Dub w/ Japanese BGM track way more than the "Broadcast" track; and, I like Falcouner's BGM. But, as like Kaboom said (I think, not 100% sure) it's time for FUNimation to start treating DBZ like any other anime. Look at GT, people don't hate the dub as much now that we got the original music and DB, there was no problem. I mean, yeah, the Dub w/ Japanese is far from perfect. But, it's a step in the right direction.

I actually have been a fan since about 99, 16 now. So, DB's been a huge part of my childhood. So, I'm not complaining about the Falcouner track being taken out, actually, I kept listening to the Japanese version at first because of the music, and the voices didn't bother me. So, I have nostalgia for both Dub and Sub, so the dub track for the release is perfect for me. In a way it feels like FUNimation is saying "Hey, Frankie. This is the DB release for you". Yeah, I'm probably in some weird type of minority of a type of fan.

Permanent ban? Sheesh, he hasn't been that bad. And he isn't flaming anyone. Not that I agree with his opinion, but I don't remember anyone being threatened with a ban and referred to as playing the victim for going off about, say, season set remastering. If I'm wrong, I'll quickly insert foot in mouth. It just seems that this whole debate is making everyone super sensitive.
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

Hm, unexpected news for sure. Maybe I'll watch some episodes with Funi's music for one last hurrah to pay my respects.

I can understand why people would be angry about this. It's beautiful footage and to want the audio you know and love next to it is perfectly understandable.

I wonder if Funi really is trying to give exposure to the Japanese score. Between translating GT's theme songs, putting the Japanese music on some of the double feature menu screens and now this I'm fairly curious what angle they are playing up here.

Also, the Season Sets default to the original score with the dub.

Speaking of translated GT songs (and I'll probably be kicked in the nuts for asking, but I didn't have a chance to read all of the original Dragon Box thread), is there any hope that funimation has done english versions of Cha La Head Cha La and the other songs for their english dub soundtrack? I'm going to assume there's no news on that, and it's not likely they would anyways, but I figured I'd ask.
Not a problem.

Hell, I know I've not been here for very long... Just about a year and a half (and that's with membership... I've been lurking since the Season One was released) but I don't even remember the above...

Of course, not saying it hasn't happened...

While I don't personally agree with SSVegetto, but I was kinda shocked to see him being threatened with a perma-ban so suddenly...

I remember that one member who had a very long thread going, where (s?)he was going on a tirade about how "evil" VegettoEX is, and about how we are all "Nazis" or whatever, and banning never even seemed to enter VegettoEX's mind at that time.

The Ultimate Uncut dub was broadcast on TV though.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Complete with a seizure-inducing opening. :P

Would have made a cool "extra" on the Season Sets...

Agreed. I loved that opening, at least until I discovered the wondrous awesome that is Cha La Head Cha La. Still hold a bit of a soft spot for it though.

Am I a weirdo for thinking the Ultimate Uncut dub opening sounds a little like the 2nd opening for Death Note...just a teeny tiny bit?

But yeah it's not awful, I'd take it over Rock the Dragon or Funi's other intro.

It wasn't broadcast on TV in the fashion people are describing though.

Nor in the cast of this first set is there the removal of ANYTHING Bruce Faulconer has done.
