Just checked email, nothing.

And checked RightStuf. It said "Processing" Not sure if that's shipped, or some weird place in-between.

At least it worked, and I'm not going crazy.

Terry Van Klassen is credited as a writer because he wrote some of the scripts for the initial dub, which this in-house dub borrows lines from.

Quick question:
Can anyone show me the pic of the Orange Box where supposedly two of the Ginyu Force members heads are cropped off?
I never seen it and would like too.

Also, if Sabat is playing Freeza in Kai (which I doubt) I would laugh so much.

My DragonBox stayed true to its arrival date prediction and showed up today around 3:00. Can't wait until I can actually watch the thing. Damn you, homework! :x

To those of you who own the set,

What did they do for the episodes before and after the television special (63 and 64)? Was the TV special preview cut? Was the preview for episode 64 attached to 63 instead of the special? Were both previews omitted all together?
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

I just finished this episode. After episode 63 there's a preview for 64.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but in the Japanese Dragon Box, the two TV specials were included on a separate disc, right? Since the TV specials were not airing in their "proper" place between certain episodes, I wonder if Toei themselves adjusted the previews in their release, so FUNi actually didn't do anything.

In the original Dragonbox, episode 63 ends with a preview for episode 64, and the Bardock special starts with the preview for it, with no preview at the end.

Okay, I noticed something interesting on the Dragon Box that I've also noticed on the Season sets for a long ass time. Remember how Kei17 mentioned on the Dragon Ball Kai board how episodes 73-80 were done using 35mm film rather than the usual 16mm film? Well, on both the Dragon Box and the Season sets, the colors are noticeably different on those episodes and have a very yellowish-red tint compared to the rest of the episodes, as the 35mm film hasn't deteriorated as much as the 16mm films since it';s higher quality, so the colors look more like how they should look. To illustrate this, I'll use screencaps from the end of episode 80 and the recycled version of that scene from the beginning of episode 81. 80 is on the top, 81 is on the bottom:

Any reason why there were no subtitles for the pre-Ginyu launch scene in episode 58?

I made the Reccoome screencap into an avatar for shits & giggles:

Probably because the guy was spouting random Engrish. I only picked up a few words and those I can't even remember. lol Pretty forgettable and unnecessary if you ask me, so I can kinda see why subtitles weren't put on there.

Any particular reason why episodes 73 to 80 were done with 35mm? It looks nice and I'm curious as to why those episodes got to use better quality film.

I believe it had something to do with the negatives being in 35mm, and Toei still had access to the negatives for those episodes.

Ah, so everything originally had 35mm negatives, but the only ones that survived or were in usable shape at the time they created the DBoxes in Japan were just the negatives for this set of episodes.
