"DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Thread

I can't remember a Namco Bandai game that has been on PC platform it's been mostly console-exclusive so that's an odd one.

Anyway, I'll lower down my expectations to none because I don't want to be disappointed afterwards.

Actually, it looks more like Windows game cover to me. All my games on PC have that stripe on the box.

But that one on the blurry image is somewhat curved.

It also looks like Wii cover art. With the curvy line on top, I mean. Although, the dot-like shaped logo or whatever it is on the left may suggest otherwise.

I was thinking Wii as well but the little emblem on the top right doesn't match. Maybe it isn't a game template at all.

This is a shame that our picture editing programs can easily add blur, but can't take it out.
Such a picture should be able to go through one option named "de-blur" or something, and in two seconds we'd see everything without blur...

Oh well, at least Shenron is easily recognizable - even when blurred!
Although that does not give us a single possible hint on the game itself.

I thought so too at first. But a "Game for Windows Live" game would be completely random considering Microsoft barely supports the idea anymore. Most games get a release on Steam or have boxes that look like this:https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/imag ... RjnNZKrOTQ
or while sometimes not having anything up there at all.

After looking at it for awhile it really looked more like a 360 game and to me that makes more sense. The last couple of games have been PS3/360 and I don't expect this one to be any different.

As for the curve thing, I think that's part of the image below it and not the banner itself...like a cloud or something. I'm not sure though. Usually those little dips on the banner are on the right hand side.

I don't think it will be on the Wii. Given that the Wii is pretty much a dead console and that Nintendo will likely end up discontinued it soon, a DBZ game for the Wii seems like a waste of time.

It could be undecided when it comes to consoles. It could also be for PS4 since we haven't exactly seen cover art for PS4 games yet, at least far as I'm aware.

It's too soon for a DBZ game on the PS4. I don't think we will see a game on the PS4 until 2015 at least.

Indeed. Wouldn't make sense for a DBZ Launch game for PS4, worst case scenario the game it would be even more have an even worse score than Ultimate Tenkaichi & For Kinect.

I'm 100% sure that neither of those are covers. The white bar looks like a Wii cover but they wouldn't bother with a Wii game when they could release a PS3/360/WiiU game and get far more money?

The green bit looks like the top of a screenshot, most of those images do look like screenshots and I think the white bar might be for a fact sheet or something like that, who knows.

I just don't see them getting to 100,000 any time soon unless websites like SaiyanIsland start spamming this across the internet. The funny thing is that they usually jump on every rumour they hear but they're oddly silent about this one. So... What happens if they don't reach 100,000?

I don't think Namco Bandai releasing anything official is somehow contractually regulated by this page reaching 100.000 likes anyway. So yeah, I have no clue what they are planning.

If the Dragon Ball game to be announced as "Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Conquer the World" was actually J-Stars Victory that'd be a huge mess and confusion.

So even if they're not releasing a DBZ game this year for the western part, there's J-Stars Victory which I think it'll come out this year (I hope) can't wait to play it.

We normally start seeing the official scans of Goku and Vegeta fighting before the start of May. I guess in another few more weeks, we will likely see official info.

It really is always them fighting. Maybe this time things will change and Gohan will be there. Or maybe something Battle Of Gods related cause of hype.

Maybe a Dragon Ball Online localization? The "Conquer the World" phrase could pertain to all the people around the world who would play...and that might explain the image looking like a Windows PC case.




It's a stretch...but if this were true I wouldn't be upset.

If it's DB Online then too bad most people can't play it since most people won't have a PC to run it. That's why most PC games sell less then console games because most casual people don't have a PC to play video games. My PC is from 2002 and it can hardly run TF2 on steam.

You have a pretty astounding ignorance of the size of the PC gaming audience, and most people don't have ten+ year old computers. They'd probably do much better appealing to a potentially new audience than the fourteen combined copies of DBZ games they'd sell between the PS3 and Xbox 360.

I know that there is a lot of PC gamers out there, but I'm just talking about the casual people. I remember reading that most people don't have the high level graphic cards for PC gaming and that most PC games sell 1/3rd or less of what console version of game sells.
