Anyone else think it's funny that DBZ doesn't get as much color as it should be, but Kenshin gets all of its color pages right aside from 2 pages at the beginning of one chapter in the first VizBig? Wonder how it will be when they do Fushugi Yugi, though I know nothing about that series other than a character has a catchphrase in the anime's sub and dub.

I'm starting to believe in this "DragonBall curse" thing that a lot of folks around here cite every once in a while. Everything DOES seem to get consistently amazing treatment by Viz and FUNi, unless it has "Dragon Ball" in the title.

It's obvious from the "Complete Illustrations" book that they ARE capable of putting out a good release if they want to... I don't know why they can't do the same for the manga itself.

I don't think it's curse, it's just they know it will sell so why put in extra effort.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Now that I think of it, it's reminding me of how a few old Marvel and DC stories are done differently in particular reprinting books. For example, in the Batman Chronicles, the reprint of the first Batman story has some art and dailogue missing from what I have of that story in "Batman in the 40s".
