If it's anything like a typical fighter, that is NEVER going to happen because of all the work it would be to recode characters that use attacks or throws that involve grabbing character by the left arm to use the right instead just for one character's costume.THEGOKU wrote:An man I just hope if it's a full Z game they have one arm future gohan.

I dunno, the above shot of his Zenkai Battle Royale character model doesn't look too off to me. If anything I thought his DBH model looked a bit unusual.

A armed Gohan won't be in because Bandai said it raises their game from a T rating to an M rating or something like that according to Treevax.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:If it's anything like a typical fighter, that is NEVER going to happen because of all the work it would be to recode characters that use attacks or throws that involve grabbing character by the left arm to use the right instead just for one character's costume.THEGOKU wrote:An man I just hope if it's a full Z game they have one arm future gohan.

THANK YOU! I was thinking Of Dragonball Heroes not Zenkai. My mistake. But yeah Dragonball Heroes version look way to skinny and look weird as hell.Chuquita wrote:Re: Zenkai Battle Royale ssjg

I hope Birsu is in this game. We don't nee Whis YET! until they make more info on him. If they don't have Birshu then why have Goku Super Saiyan God?

Anyway, gonna hold on to my thoughts until we get the first trailer except...
...they should've called this game, Dragon Brawl Z.

Honestly, I think I prefer the DBH model. The Zenkai model looks great, but it's not quite thin enough.Spoiler:

Yeah, this is looking to be the year of great 80s Jump games. All we need is a new Fist of the North Star game, and throw in a Kinnikuman game, and we're set.Wobbuffet wrote:I really hope this is the definitive Dragon Ball game of this generation. Saint Seiya is getting a new game (apparently by Dimps) that will cover all the sagas for the first time, with rumors of characters from alternate stories like Omega and Lost Canvas. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is getting an awesome game with lots of fanservice and easter eggs. Why can't we get a good Dragon Ball game for once?
Also, I want LOTS of charaters. I see no reason for wanting less characters than we should get.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle
Saint Seiya: Brave Soldier
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z
Between those and Verses J (or whatever it's called now), it's a great time to be a Jump fan who loves video games (though the game needs to confirm a Jojo, Seiya, and Kenshiro, Goku can't be the only 80s Rep).
Also, is anyone else looking forward to the dub portions of this? We might get a taste of how Schemmel will do Super Saiyan God (he did do some distinctions as the SSJ forms went on), and who they might cast as Bubsy and Whis.

Glad for the differ Super Saiyan God versions. It got one for almost all the taste. Regular(Battle for Z), Slightly skinny(Zenkai), and Skinny(DBH)

I kinda miss Donny Clay's ridiculous updates on Dragonball games.
Is Future Gohan in the game?
No, but the Gohan from Trunks' future is.
Anywho, this looks interesting, I don't have a PS3 or whatnot but I'll follow the progress of it. Having 2 people fighting out at the same time could be fun especially in a 4 player multiplayer.

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

More fantasy fusions and transformations would be nice. I do like to see the return of what if stories again. If Zarbon and Radditz got one then why not give Nappa his own what if story. I remember one of the trailers of the second Sparking game had Nappa having conversation with Vegeta while going Oozaru. It look like it got scarped for unknown reasons.

Sony has provided third parties with tools to port PS3 (and PSP) games to Vita in an attempt to get more third party support, a tactic Nintendo cannot use. Namco Bandai is a big supporter of this initiative.kei17 wrote:And they release the Vita version.dbboxkaifan wrote:Wii U isn't selling well. Faulconer's soundtrack isn't the official music it's replacement too. And the only fanbase that cares somewhat about it is the American.miguelnuva1 wrote:Why can't they use the falconer nusic?
As FUNimation has been using Kikuchi for Kai and DBZ over Faulconer, it shows that they have no interest in going back to the cheap alternate music they produced back then.

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
I'm still setting my expectations low until we get some more information, including:
1) Will the characters be properly balanced with these new gameplay mechanics?
2) What will the full roster look like?
3) And will we finally get GT characters?
These are 3 simple prerequesites that I'm personally hoping for in this new game. I try to get my brother and some friends into these DBZ fighting games but they are always playing Super Smash Bros instead and calling the DBZ games "garbage". I ask "Why?" They said the the DBZ games are not "user friendly" where you can pick up and start playing without having any knowledge on how the control mechanics work. Unlike Super Smash Bros. where its "Move with control stick, Press A and B for special attacks" thats it. That is something I think Namco Bandai needs to work on if they want to broaden the appeal of these games outside the usual DBZ fan base. Or else I'm going to be playing DBZ Battle for Z all alone in my room while my brother invites 5 of his friends to his room for Smash Bros parties......seriously whatever NIntendo is doing to make their Smash Bros games so dang popular, I wish Namco Bandai would apply the same treatment to DBZ games. Then these games might start to garner some respect for once.

As a matter of fact, they didn't. I showed my bro BT3 one time and he was unimpressed. He said the controls were too complicated and all the characters played the same. He then went back to play Smash Bros the next day...miguelnuva1 wrote:They must not play tenkachi 3GogetaSSJ2 wrote:

Smash Bros is popular because all of Nintendo most popular characters in a single game, it's pretty much the video game equivalent to The JL or Avengers. And I use to feel the same way about Street Fighter thinking it was too hard. And really he finds DBZ game controls "too complicated"?
