I'll only look forward to Son Goten and Trunks if they appear taller. This is likely the last chance to correct this problem before they engage in a saga.

If they are to get taller I imagine it will be when the next arc arc starts, not during this.

Can we expect a change in the opening already. The opening now is literally obsolete with everything in there already shown.

July will be when we likely get a new Opening, which I also suspect will be when the next arc starts.

So we'll get 8 slice of life episodes?
I don't know, seems a bit too many.

44-46 don't sound like slice of life, so with Goku baby sitting Pan, at least 3 for this mini arc. After episode 46 there are only 3 more episodes til July, so the mini arc could go beyond just 46 and maybe end in 47 or 48 and then what ever is left could be filled with slice of life or something.

"mini arc" would work.
People get too worked about about filler being used as a pejorative, just using the word filler doesn't mean you are trying to insult something.

I don't mind Super doing this at all especially given how fun the movie bridging episodes were, if I'm honest I kind of prefer these episodes.

悟空は界王星から家までの瞬間移動も上手く出来ず、家を大破させてしまう。
家が直るまで悟飯の家に厄介になることになった悟空はパンの面倒を見ていたが、

Goku, who used his ki in a messed up way during the tournament against Universe 6, is now suffering from a "delayed violent disposition", which makes him unable to control his ki however he wants. By not being able to fully use his Instant Transmition from Planet Kaiou to his house, he ends up destroying it. Until his house is repaired, Goku, who now meant trouble, went to Gohan's house to take care of Pan but, lurking around plotting their revenge was the Pilaf gang.

実はただの運送会社の配達員だったモナカは、ある日荷物を届けにブルマの家に行き、
ブルマの実験を手伝う羽目になる。
その間にトランクスと悟天がモナカの宇宙船の荷台で遊んでいたが、いつの間にか眠ってしまう。
何も知らないモナカは宇宙船を発進させポトフ星へ。
ポトフ星には奇跡の水"超人水"があり、ポタージュが守っていたのだが、グリールが封印を解いてしまった。

One day, Monaka, who really was just a deliveryman from a shipping company, went to Bulma's house to deliver a package and found himself in an awkward situation by helping her with an experiment. Meanwhile, Trunks and Goten, who were playing in Monaka's load-carrying tray, fell asleep. Monaka, not knowing a thing, took off to Planet Pot-au-feu. In Planet Pot-au-feu there's "Choujinsui", a miraculous water, which was being protected by Potaaju but had its seal broken by Guriiru.

トランクスと悟天を迎えに行くためポトフ星へ向かうベジータとジャコ。
複製ソテー人に襲われていたトランクスたちをベジータが助けるが、"超人水"を飲んだソテー人は
複製ベジータとなりベジータに立ちはだかる。

Writer: Yoshifumi Fukushima

Vegeta and Jaco go to Planet Pot-au-feu to pick up Trunks and Goten. Vegeta saves them from the copy-Sautéjin, who was attacking the boys, but, having drank the "Choujinsui", the Sautéjin turns into copy-Vegeta and stands in his way.

46話 悟空VS複製ベジータ！ 勝つのはどっちだ！？（6/5）

46 - Goku VS copy-Vegeta! Who will win!?

That whole thing reads like a Naruto-tier filler arc. I might even enjoy it when I get to watch it, but on paper it sounds like a snorefest.

My guess for a new opening isn't until after this mini slice of life arc.

Makafushigi Adventure lasted the entirety of DB and Cha-La Head-Cha-La was used as the opening for two thirds of Z, so I wouldn't be surprised if we had to put up with Chouzetsu Dynamic for at least 100 more episodes (if the show lasts this long, that is).

While true, Dragon Soul lasted the entirety of Kai, only getting replaced when the Boo arc was unexpectedly adapted.

Kai was also kinda just shat out though, it's not like it was a high effort project. I bet the OP gets replaced either yearly or around every 70ish episodes(assuming the show runs for a long time.)

Wow that's a lot of filler/slice of life! Some of my favorite episodes of Super were episode 1 and the SSJ Hercule episode so I hope these are kinda like that. I guess they want to make sure the manga catches up before they begin the next saga. When do you think that would be announced? Sometime in July or August?

Yeah I'm in the same boat . I think "bridge episodes" is good since it could include both filler and/or slice of life between sagas. I heard "anime-only" from a different thread and I like that one since it can include all the extra content between and during the sagas.

Toei is still mostly different from the usual when it comes to change themes. See how long their One Piece openings last. The current one is running since April 2015 and there's no replacement announced yet.

I think this show is going for a long time because of international money which is a lot, so as Toriyama has more stories to tell, Super will continue. A new opening will probably happen when a big difference in time or story happena in the show.

The whole "Copy-Vegeta" scenario sounds really intriguing, so I'm actually looking forward quite a bit to see how it plays out. The rest of filler/slice of life episodes sound pretty... meh.
