Just got these from ebay. Finally HG series 5 and 6. I'm almost all caught up on the HG series now.

They had very few of each of these left on rightstuf, so I HAD to get them! The GT Singles Box #2 was $17.00 and Movie 13 was only $4 and it's now sold out.

Well, I just pre-ordered Dragon Box 2 on Rightstuf using their sale code, but what I really wanted to talk about was what I got a little while ago: Bandai's MG (Master Grade), 1/8 scale Son Goku model.

Image

A few people who know me know that my friends and I will often get together to build models. These are usually mobile suits from Gundam, but I decided to go with something different for next time. This model was released to coincide with Dragon Ball Kai. Like most of Bandai's kits these days, it requires no paint or glue to build, so it's just a matter of not goofing up on trimming the parts or leaving something out. A Master Grade model usually takes about 10 hours (including breaks) to put together if you want to do it all in one day.

Here's some more pictures of the packaging and unassembled, still packaged sprues.

As you can see from that last picture, you have the choice of which symbol you put on the gi (now that I look, they're upside-down in the picture).

Finally, there's the instruction booklet, which has some pretty nice original(?) cover art.

I want one of these! What other figures available from this line?

Also, the site you've linked looks like it's from Japan. Does it ship internationally or do I need to use something like Yahoo Auctions like they do with Amazon Japan?

Hobby Link Japan ships worldwide. My friends and I order from them quite regularly. They've got some pretty cool stuff.

This Goku kit is the only one in the Figurerise line out so far, but there's an MG Super Saiyan Son Goku as a pre-order now.

Thank you. But man! $38.08 for a 13.3 cm tall figure?

I can buy FUNimation's Dragon Box with even less than this!

13.3 cm is the depth of the box. I think the actual model will be somewhere around 20 cm when assembled. And believe it or not, I'd call this cheap for an MG kit from Bandai; up to $60 (USD) would probably be considered a 'good price' where I live. Not exactly a cheap hobby, although MG is one of the higher (and thus more expensive) grades.

Cool, I hadn't seen them. And it looks like my estimate about the height was just about right. It's actually a bit taller than most of my MGs.

Cell Games box on ebay. Was missing some eps, and one dvd had wrong disc in it, but luckily had others that were missing and now have the entire anime. Took 10 years to do it, but happy.

Revenge for King Piccolo for the Wii. $20 after the price drop! I'm so stoked to play and old-school-style side scrolling beat-em-up! It's also refreshing to have a non-Z game for a change. It took some self control waiting for a price drop, but I finally got it!
