No one will. It's an animanga, meaning that it's pictures of the movie with speech bubbles in the form of a comic, not an adaptation of the movie. And it's already out in Japan.

I was reading the dbz wiki about Berrus and it says this:

In an extended scene in the Special Edition of the film, Goku states that Beerus would have likely prevailed even against a fusion of himself and Vegeta

Was this really in that directors cut version of the movie?

Why not? I really suspected from the beginning that Vegetto won't enough, from the DVD/Blu-ray version was that cut just because it would have been too long for that realise, but the extended verion was added. It was cut most likely because the director believed that everyone guessed that the strongest fusion won't be enough, and concentrated on SSJ-God. But in the extended version it was said by Goku that merging with Vegeta won't be enough, so he decided to find this mysterious Suupa Saiya-jin Goddo.

1. Never trust the DB Wiki.

2. I don't remember that ever being mentioned in the written rundown of new and altered scenes added in. Sounds like another false fan addition.

But Goku really does say at point that a fusion of himself and Vegeta would be enough to pull a win. He mentiones his fusion with Vegeta at 29:30-29:40

Yes. Right after being defeated the first time, he says something along the lines of "If I wanted to beat him, I'd have to fuse with Vegeta. No, even that might not be enough. Wait, didn't he say something about a 'Super Saiyan God'...?"

He might have been thinking along the lines of the fusion dance and not necessarily the potara earrings.

Goku says that merging with Vegeta in general probably won't be enough. Meaning that at worse, SS3 Vegetto will get his ass kick. And Beerus ended up stronger than Goku even imagined, and he was actually even stronger than that, since he was suppressed against God Goku. So...
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Gooku should meant Vegetto, because there were potara earrings for the fusion.

It's funny, because I've been studying the last couple of days and I've missed this particular announcement: hype at maximum!
Also, not only the BoG anime book is coming, but the Full Color edition too!
The price will be 17.69 USD per volume. It's a bit expensive, considering that the Kanzenban edition was 10.86 USD at the beginning, and it supposedly is 12.23 USD now. But hey, it's Full Color.

It been over a year since BOG came out in theaters in Japan. Has your opinion on the movie changed since then? I still like the movie and it's still my favorite DBZ movie. I think BOG is the Kanzenshuu's Star Trek Into Darkness, most people like it while others really dislike it.

Wow! Has it really been a year? dang... :P My opinion on it hasn't changed. I still like the movie a-lot and I'm hoping it gets an English release but I wouldn't say that it's my favorite movie.

My thoughts are about the same. Story-wise it's my favorite. Ssjg Gokû is still adorable. The movie could've used a higher animation budget, and I wish they'd have had the time to complete those extra director's cuts in time to use that version in theaters. I'd still like to see this as the start of a series of new DB 2-D movies that take place over the course of the remaining years between BOG and the end of the manga.

Also! I wish they'd have posted those preliminary sketches of BOG stuff somewhere. I wanted to see the official artwork for Lizard!Beerus, Kuririn and 18's wedding, and hilariously-caped ssjg Gokû.
On hiatus.

Anybody know if they got plans on releasing the extended version out on DVD/Blu-ray?

Nothing announced. Other series that get things like this typically don't see the extended version released.

Which is so perplexing when considering the Japanese industry approach to versioning home media releases in whatever proposterously small or superficial ways possible to maximise revenues from the 'limited edition' demographic.

You can buy the film three or four times over in different boxes or with an extra booklet, but not with actual extra film content. Totally crackers.

Toei's Kamen Rider movies get extended cuts and end up being put on home video. So anything is possible

Yes, it was. In fact, I mentioned it a mere two pages back in the thread, where I finally finished my analysis of the extended version.
SaiyaJedi wrote:EXTENDED SCENE: 0:29:39 - 0:31:21 (16s -> 1m42s = +1m26s)
As Goku lies on the ground, after marveling at how strong Beerus was, Kaiō tells him that he warned him. Goku goes on to reflect that he and Vegeta probably wouldn’t be able to beat him even if they fused (fanwank quashed!). He then starts pondering “Super Saiyan God”, wondering what it means, as Bubbles reaches into his obi and pulls out a bag of Senzu. Goku is suddenly healed, then asks about informing everyone on Earth. Kaiō-sama informs him that he told Vegeta, because he seemed like the least likely to do something rash. Goku wonders whether he should go to Earth now, or keep training on Planet Kaiō first.
