Depends on the plot of the film. I don't really have a problem with the "below an hour" films as they don't really need anymore time to tell and show the story at hand. With movies like 13, they benefit from the extra time as they used it for the Tapion/Trunks bonding scenes. So, the new film should only be longer has to be, not just for the sake of run time.
I would be pretty dissapointed if it were another short movie, though I believe there is little chance of that happening considering the current trend in anime movies. I really hope for scenes like those with Tapion/Trunks, meaning non-action related scenes that help flesh out characters and give the movie a little more substance. Of course I want the actions scenes too, but it would be nice if the movie offered a little more than that.

According to Naotoshi Shida's tweet, he is going to participate as a key animator.

One excellent movie at barely 60 minutes is The Land Before Time. It can be done. ;)

Regarding the content of the films, in addition to mentioning that he ((Yūsuke Watanabe)) “won’t forget getting chills” when writing the iconic lines “Heya! I’m Goku!” or “…Kakarrot…!”, he also had this to say
Anyway, what we know so far is that Goku will be presenting himself to someone new and that someone calls him "Kakarrot...!!", most likely Vegeta.

Is that... a good or a bad thing? o_O I'm reading some stuff on the animation style guide but... :s

Shida Naotoshi? Christmas is officially saved folks. Shida is one of Toei's very best in-house key animators.

Toshio Furukawa tweeted that they had finished the recording for "a certain anime". His photo shows himself, Nozawa, Tanaka, and Horikawa, so it certainly is DBZ. *Edit* Well, it's confirmed not to be the DBZ movie according to Furukawa himself...

Aww! I really like how they record as a group; I think it really helps bring a more organic feel to voice acting when you have everyone recording that way. Also, that Shida Naotoshi animation; very nice!

It's lots of fluid action scenes.

Strong World Luffy vs Shiki, a scene from one of the Precure All Stars movies where Precure 5 is fighting a monster, climax of the redone Plot to Destroy the Saiyajins, Sanji vs Oz in Thriller Bark (OP), Luffy fighting a poison monster in Impel Down, various actiony parts of One Piece openings and Precure openings, Precure's Cure Passion's transformation scene/henshin, and a few Precure vs Monster-of-the-Week episode battles.
On hiatus.

Yeah, I feel that way about group sessions, too. The actors can really let loose and bounce off each other that way.

Also, sure Furukawa. That's totally not a photo from Dragon Ball Z. Uh-huh. Yup. Cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die.

Have they said who's the composer for the film? Takaki?

I'm really liking Mr. Takaki's music a lot and if Kikuchi can't be, then let it be Takaki. :P

That looks really nice! I was really hoping for at least "OP: Strong World" level of animation quality and I'm happy to see he worked on that movie too.

I'm really want to know who the composer will be too. I care a lot about soundtracks.

If there's no other show those four would be in, and it's not "Movie 18" (coining it), what else could it be that the actors were recording? Another game? Dragon Ball Heroes?

Maybe a TV special? One Piece and Naruto have been doing them lately, espicially in regards to promoting films.

I don't know much about this guy but after watching that clip I got really excited. Toei sounds like they are really going all out with this.

I wonder, what sort of promotional merchandise we'll see for this film? With no video game having come out in Japan this year I wonder if something is being saved for Winter/Spring 2013 to tie into the film?

I should also mention that Shida apparently did that cut of animation of Gokuu fighting Freeza in the Ultimate Blast opening, so that's another good indication. Hopefully Shida isn't the only great animator working on this movie.

Oonishi Ryou. I haven't seen him in any of Toei's TV titles recently, so unless he is busy with One Piece Film Z, he might be working on Dragon Ball Z.

Furukawa had to respond saying it didn’t have anything to do with the new movie.
If this means we're getting a Jump Tour special, or a TV special movie tie-in episode like OP is doing, that would be fantastic. *_*

Marketing blitz us, Toei. Do it.

I would've guessed it at originally being possibly a recording for One Piece, but as far as I know, Horikawa doesn't any main or supporting characters in OP. (ANN is down atm so I can't double-check there; he may have been a really minor character, but nobody arc-related like Nozawa's Kureha.)
On hiatus.

I think the merchandise we might get are figures from S.H.Figuarts since they seem to making Dragon Ball figures lately. I think we might get a video game that might be a fighter or a RPG that is tie in with the movie.
