I'm fine with Trunks returning, although I wonder how they will explain him coming to a past that isn't his own. I'm not so sure about Black Goku, though, that sounds like bad fan fiction, but then again so did Golden Freeza, and I ended up enjoying Revival of F anyway.

The first time Trunks appeared he already was on a different timeline branch because "our timeline branch" was different from his own before already as Cell's arrival one year before made them seperate. It was not Trunks' fault. So to put it in a nutshell: Trunks always jumped around on the branches instead of just travelling back to the past. He did the same thing afterwards as well as it became less similiar by each event.

So, I don't know if this has been discussed but Future Trunks turning Blue, means he was able to achieve this form just like his father by training without outside help (The ritual). So, if we keep this in mind, it means, Beerus woke up from his dream, saw a SSG, found out about Freeza's demise, went to earth, found Trunks was the only SSJ alive but decided somehow not to destroy Earth as long as Trunks was able to achieve this form. So, apparently he did. From that point on, Golden Freeza came back and was probably defeated by Trunks again. And now we move to this Black Goku thing which sounds like Xicor with another name. I wonder if this Black Goku is actually "Dark" Goku and not something regarding his color but rather his behavior.

Either way, Even if I'm mad from getting spoiled (Not here) at the General Franchise Discussion Board since it's all over your face in the title as soon as you get there, I am very excited about what the future holds for DB.

I think that's his natural hair color.

In Toriyama's drawings Bulma has purple hair but in the anime it's green/blue so his will probably be white in the anime.

Why should Trunks have turquoise as natural hair colour. They did that with Bulma and Bra but never with Trunks.

Why all the whining about it? The Time Breakers plot is pretty cool, in my opinion. Probably the best thing that happened in DB universe since it ended in 1997. So many options. Those villains are strong and have an interesting goal to achieve.

Obviously by the fact that all that ISN'T new. It's something most of us have seen before - and it also proves that Toriyama has simply run out of ideas.

I am excited about the Trunks Saga. But I never want to hear anyone say again "oh Broly during the Cell Games waiting time is so unrealistic" when in the 10 years gap of the last chapter Battle of Gods, Fukkatsu no F, Tournament U6v7, Trunks and Grinch ruins Christmas happens.

Ignoring the fact that it's a non-canon movie, Goku and Gohan were supposed to be SS all the time and regular people were supposed to be panicking. Looking at it as a what if movie, where Vegeta killed Cell makes more sense.

The upcoming Future Trunks arc sounds promising. However, what does "black Goku" mean? An evil Goku? And I hope the main villain will be awesome.

I don't think his comments were out of line. There are people on this forum who have high regard for canonicity and that's their personal prerogative, right or wrong.

So, Future Trunks will once again use the time travel to ask for help... Jaco needs to be close when this occur because the whole point in Jaco's character and his background consist in time travelling being prohibited. This is also the chance to transform the idea of "bringing Future Trunks back" into something actually pretty cool with the incorporation of Kaioshin of Time and Time Patrol into the series, but not necessarily the same way we saw/know in Dragon Ball Online.

I do think this has the potential to be a decent and exciting arc and it'll be interesting to see what level of power future trunks is at now.
Does anybody think that using the super dragonballs to wish universe 6 earth back had any impact on this upcoming story? I know it's a different timeline and all, just wondering if it could be possible

I thought that at one point too. What if the wish of the super dragon balls caused something to go wrong. I'm not so sure this will be the case but...let's wait and see!

My bets are a totally black shadowy figure of Goku, or something. Kind of like an Anti-Goku.

I'm actually glad it's not Towa or Miira... but then again those two would be one explanation for Black Goku.

I dunno, I think there's a lot of wild speculation going on (what else is new?) based on the name alone. Call me crazy, but having a fully-fledged, super power Saiyan villain with the wide range of Saiyan abilities at his disposal could be interesting. And no, dopey Broli doesn't count. A smart, universe-threatening, arc-long SSJ/God/Blue tier baddie. We haven't seen that. A non-Goku clone or whatever the hell would be preferrable, but I'm not ready to cast aspersions just yet.

Also, Toriyama mentioned something about wanting to use White for SSJ hair, but thought it would clash with the next villain. I wonder if that has anything to do with this Goku Black..?
