I can't help thinking this tournament's going to get interrupted partway through. We haven't had a tournament finish to completion in the manga with Gokû and friends present since the 23rd tournament. 24th and 25th they didn't enter, 26th was Buu arc, 27th they didn't enter, 28th was Gokû flying off with Uub.

You're right (and even the AB filler Tournament got called on a technicality), but I hope Toriyama's had a long enough break from TBs, that he's actually interested in writing one that plays out all the way through.

Though with that last page with Champa and Vados, it certainly looks like there's something sinister going on behind all this.

He seems intently on winning, calling the Saiyans pushovers. I would expect for the tournament to run to completion, or very close to it.
The arena has the potential to imprison anyone who steps in. Oh the irony, if the heroes get stuck the whole arc, while Gohan has to save them all. After Bulma calls, with news from her encounter with Zuno.

Champa calls the Saiyans pushovers because he observed them in their heavy ass suits Whis stuck on them. He hasn't seen their unrestrained power or their transformation. So he very well may screw up his own tournament we he realizes he's in over his head. xD

I can't speak for the exact dialogue, but can confirm the that the Chapter 6 summary is real. The general gist of the events matchup. Though, it seems the summary left off the final page, which shows the tournament grounds and the Super Dragon Balls floating in the sky above the planet while Champa and Vados have a brief conversation.

Could you show us the final page?

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Gotenks never even went SSJ3 in the anime version and it felt like a completely different fight. Who knows, Toei may surprise us.

Translating a translation probably isn't the best idea, but I'll still have it looked at in a little bit so we can at least have an idea of whats being said. The more I look at it though, I'm starting to waver on my "evil smirk" for Champa. It might be cockiness, as it seems like he might be talking about who he'll be getting for his team...though I know less Korean than I do Japanese.

Looks ordinary. Disappointed, since I was expecting something different.

I wanted something like Bojack Unbound. Where every fight happens in a different location/planet, and the fighters had to look for each other.

Maybe they'll invite the other gods of destruction to watch it.
